DRC is looking for quality foster homes and volunteers to temporarily house and care for rescue doodles throughout Northern & Southern California.
The need is tremendous as we are seeing an alarming increase in the number of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle dogs turning up in kill shelters throughout the Golden State. Our abilities to rescue and help these poor dogs have been hindered by lack of available foster volunteers in those regions.
Requirements for DRC foster volunteers are dog experience, patience, willingness to take your foster doodle to veterinary and grooming appointments as needed and flexibility. Doodles in the DRC rescue program average anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months in foster care depending on the doodle and their specific rehabilitation and/or veterinary needs. So you must be prepared for the possibility that your foster doodle will be with you for an extended period of time.
When you foster a DRC doodle you become part of our BIG family and have the full support of the entire organization. We are always available to assist you and answer your questions and address your concerns at any time of the day or night. We in turn will rely on your experience and opinions when the time comes to select your foster doodle's new forever home.
Fostering is not always easy. We hope that if you decide to foster for DRC that you will be willing to work with the dogs in your care and not only help them find their way to their new forever homes, but help them to also become wonderful family members.

Is there another So Cal romp planned soon?
I loved those too and was proud of myself for actually finally getting some action shots.
GREAT photos Nancy, so sorry we couldn't be there. I commented on some, it will show us as GA :) Your action shots are fabulous, especially love the ones of the beautiful black doodle jumping!
Nancy, Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing them with us. I had no problem spotting Hershey...she was the only brunett amoung all the gorgeous blonds.
I was so surprised to meet Clancy lookalikes yesterday. When I was reviewing some of the pictures, I actually thought some of them WERE Clancy until I checked the ID tags or the tails. I noticed that the slide show keeps pausing. If you want to see the photos, you can just click on one and it should take you to all of them.
PHOTOS FROM APRIL 21, 2012 ROMP AROUND THE WORLD FUNDRAISER FOR IDOG
We loved meeting all the Doodle owners at the park yesterday at the Doodle Romp and seeing all the different sizes and beautiful colors of Doodles. I overheard someone making a comment that our doodles weren't barking ....so true, another reason to love our Doodles. Are there going to be any photos posted? Where?
Welcome to the So. Cal Group, Jeffrey Sousa.
