I will be there tomorrow!
We’re pretty open to any date.
1-20
Any suggestions for our next romp date?
Pamela - not sure where you are in southern CA, If you are in the San Gabriel Valley area ask to friend me on DK and then I can give you a few suggesstions in that area.
PS year one of puppies is the honeymoon, years two and three are the real work, then with only a little continued reminders you have a well behaved dog for life.
Pamela, when you send a group message, people can’t respond to it, you could put a link to your page in the message or start a discussion. The correct collar or harness choice can help with pulling. A standard suggestion for when a dog pulls is to let the leash go slack, turn sharply around and walk the other direction— be ready to feel resistance. This really works to put the dog’s attention on you. However, if you are older like I am, those sharp turns and stepping into the opposite direction isn’t as quick and isn’t as effective. Another standard suggestion is to stop whenever the dog starts pulling. Keep tension on the leash. Don’t resume the walk until the dog is by your side. Boring, but also effective. To find a trainer in my area, I googled dog training and my town, then I interviewed each one by phone. I even started with one that turned out to be a dud. Perhaps others will have a specific person or program for your area. If pulling on-leash is really your only issue, any basic class will work. It’s the practice time you put in that makes it work
Maryann, I haven' heard a date yet for October.
These kittens can have wet food !! Try a kitten wet food those have more water for hydration
Do we have a date for a doodle romp in October yet? Sadly we had to miss the September romp.
