Arbor Park is nice because it is free parking. I have a year long parking pass at El Dorado for $35 Senior rate (age 50 and over), but it is $7.00 per entry if you don't have a pass.
I think 10:30 would be good for the group doodle photo with Santa. That would give a little time to work out any kinks that can happen when you are getting started.
Do you have to pay to get into the park? As I remember it, you do.
Is anyone else getting the I am not a robot, then several minutes of clicking on the street signs or cars or storefronts??? I am really over this!
I agree with Helga. Let's use the 19th to support the El Dorado Park Fundraiser by getting a terrific Santa Picture by Paul. Let's do brunch/lunch either before or after - Paul and Gwyn could advise us on the best photo timing before we decide. And we can use the dog park there also if it is an okay park. If someone has been there - is it grass? dirt? chips?. Are there benches or do we need our own chairs?
Address: Location: El Dorado East Regional Park, Area II, Southeast Corner
Hours: Fall / Winter 7 a.m.- 5p.m. Nov 1- Feb 28
Size: 1.5 acres
The dog park can be accessed by using the Spring Street entrance for El Dorado East Regional Park. For more information, call 562.570.3150.
I wasn't aware of the Bonanza event. Sounds like a fun idea.
I suggest we go to El Dorado Park at 10 AM or 11 AM (everyone let me know what time would work the best for you), we skip Brunch and just do the Romp.
If there is a local eating place we can congregate at for lunch we can add lunch with the doodles after the Romp.
Next month: Do you want to have the December Romp on Sunday the 10th?
Let's hear from all you Doodle Rompers.
I hope everyone can make it to the Bonanza event at El Dorado Park off of Studebaker in Long Beach on Sunday Nov 19th. Paul will be taking photos of pooches (and families) with Santa from 10 AM to 4 PM that day. It would work out perfectly if you all could bring the doods for a group photo with Santa before meeting for Brunch. It is only about 10 minutes or less away from the brunch gathering spot. Hope to see you all with Santa!
Should we have a Doodle Brunch and Romp Sunday Nov 19th? Let me hear from you Doodle Rompers.
I've calendared it and hope no crisis occurs to change our plans. I don't think we will dress up but we will enjoy seeing the costumes.
