Jody, I'm an SLP in a school in MD too! I hadn't thought about training Rowdy to be a therapy dog at the school.

Oh, the photo is fine. We get the idea. However, when you download digital photos to your computer, use any photo program to "get" the photo, make your adjustments, and then save. The new photo is then saved on your computer and the old one is replaced. Just a little practice. You will be a pro.

Hi, I want to introduce myself. I'm Jody and I work with preschoolers as a speech-language pathologist in the school system here in Maryland. We have a new Australian labradoodle puppy. His name is Quincy and he is 10 weeks old. He is our first pet since my son and I have allergies. I hope to train him to be a therapy dog to work with special needs kids at my school. I haven't asked about the school system's policy on therapy dogs yet but hope it is a possibility. I can't for the life of me figure out how to replace this picture with the one I rotated correctly. Oh well, I guess I'll be a little off kilter until I can figure it out. Any special educators out there who can give me step by step directions to replace my picture. I keep selecting the picture I want but it doesn't take. Thanks to Lynda Kamrath for the warm welcome and for inviting me into this group.

We had 2 hours delay for past 3 days due to the snow!! It really helped getting back on the swing of things....

Sale? Sale? I spent it all before the after-Christmas sales! I hope somebody took advantage of those extra reductions!!

That would have been terrible. Because the 13th one would be gone with the after Christmas Sale!! LOL!!

Groan, groan, groan. The only good thing is that in our District we get paid as soon as we go back to work in January - heaven forbid that 20 years ago they would have just sucked it up and gotten 13 paychecks in that year so that we would always be paid at the end of the month.

I think they are looking into the PSSA ( Pennsylvania State Standarized Assesment ) week to do the strike. Because the testing have to be done on the same dates through out the state, and it have to be really counted for to meet the No Child Left Behind requirement, I believe the union is thinking that they will agree to the request from the union to avoid penalty from the state for missing the test....It is in April. So, we have some time to come to the agreement. I think I am going to start putting some money a side since we will not get paid during the strike....
