t is warming up here in Pittsburgh. Today we had normal starting time, and I over slept!!
No school for us tomorrow (Metro Detroit suburbs). We have been off since Friday! Tomorrow will be our 7th day off this winter.
I heard that some snow may be headed our way on Thursday night and possibly significant snow next week.
School is closed again due to the severe weather.... This is the third snow day this year. Oh, well we wont have any Easter break.....
Kyoko - the beginning of the end - going to school when it isn't in session! LOL What you need is a vacation!!! Another one!
Oh, that is so funny, Kyoko. It sounds like something I would do. Tomorrow everything starts up again - classes at the junior college, and teaching gardening classes. I'll get back into it quickly, but it has been nice having the month off, especially since the dogs have had health problems. Groucho Too is doing fine, but I refilled his meds today. He does much better on Rovera (beef flavored). Try to take the holidays off! Actually, it got you started on your day off early. Hope you enjoyed whatever you ended up doing.
So, I knew that today was MLK day and kids did not have school. But for some reason, it was stuck in my head that we had some kind of in-service. I woke up at 6:30, showered, got dressed and went to school. The drive way was icy and was a big mess, and I was wondering why in the world the custodian did not plow and salt the drive way....Only to see the parking lot totally empty...... Dahhhhh :-(
The city schools start next week and college classes on the 20th. My gardening classes also start on the 20th. It has been a nice break this winter and beautiful weather, but we need RAIN. My poor gardens! Schools are locked up tight and the custodians probably did not water them. We shall see next week.
