Yay! The summer Camp is almost over! I have two more days left!!
This was a very first time I worked for Autistic APS summer camp. It was truley heck tick, but extreamly rewarding.
I will miss those kids....

Hi, I guess I'm supposed to leave a message. Sorry. I am a 2nd grade teacher and LOVE having the summer off. I have a Golden Retriever named Bailey who is a Delta Therapy Dog, so she gets to come to school with me a couple of times a week, and I just got an English Goldendoodle in April. Her name is Keeley and she's 4 1/2 months old. Bailey and I do agility, and Keeley's starting on this adventure, too!

This is the first week of our summer vacation and as always it is full of the things you can't get to while working. I took Mandy with me to get the oil changed and she was so good in the waiting room. People there didn't realize she was only 4 months old. We also visited the vet for the round of puppy shots and she is now 33.6 lbs. She is doing well in puppy class as well, especially after her initial greetings. I am going to finish up my master's portfolio this summer and present in the fall. I will admit writing papers is not my strongest area, but I have to get busy and get this finished now. I have all the information, I just need to put it together. My cast comes off Monday from surgery so hopefully I can type without much pain. This paper is my summer plans, no vacation or trips, just work to finish it.

Karen, I am so envious of your teaching situation. It is so rewarding to be able to have the "fun stuff" included in the curriculum.

Sounds wonderful, Karen. Makes me miss teaching. By the way, have you read the book "It's a Dog's Life"?

Dog class update. I beleive it has been a few weeks since I have commented on My "Its a Dogs Life" Class.
In that time we have had a visit by a seeing a dog and his owner of course. A police dog with his officer of course. We had a Lady who has a handicapped dog come and bring her in . WE also had our dog show with twelve kids participating with their dogs, and we went on a field trip to the peninsula humane society. In between the kids work on researching a breed of their choice which they will share with the group week after next. This week I will go on a three day two night field trip to the California Gold country with my regular class of fourth graders and the other two fourth grades at our school!

Oh, the summer will speed by so fast that you will wonder where it went. You are definitely planning ahead. Do you have roommates, or will the puppy be alone duiring the day while you are working? Do you have a full-day schedule for student teaching? Moving to Oregon? We have been planning that for years when we retired, but the housing market here is terrible and we have our perfect little house here, so we are not planning to sell in the near future. Do you have a location in Oregon? We plan to move to Grants Pass.
