Today's the day. I dropped Beckett off for his first haircut..he really needed one but I've been afraid to bring him. I can't wait to pick him up to see how he looks, I'm a little anxious. I'll try to post pics soon.

hi lisa, i am sorry to hear that your petunia isn't feeling well. fozzie is from the paw pad and is 9-months old. he has had soft stool off and on, wouldn't necessarily call it diarrhea, since we brought him home. he tested positive for whipworm a few days ago, which we're thinking may be the culprit. at least we hope so. we're treating him for this now... he hasn't had any blood work done since he was a baby. i hope this is helpful. fozzie has had some big problems with his eyes, but those issues are unrelated. i really hope your puppy feels better soon!

Lisa - we have had no health problems with Soleil. our only issues are when she eats something big and the vet has to induce vomiting. I hope this is a short term thing and that your pup recovers quickly.

Lisa, we have two pups from Paw Pad....when we got Comiskey, I was a first time dog owner...and didn't know a lot about dogs....so every two weeks I added a different kibble and mixed it with what was left of the old....we did this with 4 different brands of puppy food....and we never had any problems....we have continued this with Beemer...and so far so good.....no digestive problems....I wish you well...and please keep us updated.......

Lisa, I got your e-mail. I haven't had any problems like that with Halas, and I don't recall reading any posts like that in this group, but maybe someone has had the same thing and will reply. Does your vet know what the problem is, or are they just trying to get the white blood count down at this point? Maybe post something in the main discussion forum if no one in this group can help. I hope your puppy feels better soon.

Taffy didn't wear a collar. She wore a t-shirt for the first day and then the vet gave us med for inflamation and she didn't bother it again until the stitches were starting to loosen up. Then she pulled out the stitches herself. She was all healed so everything was OK. She was hard to keep settled though, which is normal for this kind of dog. Taffy developed a bag of fluid around the incision because of to much activity. The fluid is gone and she is OK. I think girls have more of a recovery time though. Brooksy should be back to himself in no time.

Oh, and Brooksy totally sleeps on his back...he likes sleeping on his back with his legs propped up! It's hilarious...doodles have such personality! And..he thinks he's little..and he's not..but he always manages to snuggle his way in!!! :)

Hi guys! Brooksy had his neutering surgery last Friday and all went well. He has to wear the e-collar for 7 days, which I feel so horrible about. He can't stay in his crate because he can hardly move. Anyone have any ideas? I'm afraid to take it off because I feel like it'll make it worse for him. He seems used to it now - it's likely one of those things I feel more bad about then he does, but it breaks my heart when he tries to itch his ear and he can't! Anyway...another question for the mini owners - how big is your mini? Brooks is 25 lbs already at 6 months old! hahah..he's a big boy! Wondering how much more he'll grow! Thanks all!

and yes, he likes to sleep on his back as well but just like taffy, only when he is in his crate. and he sleeps with his mouth half open...

Taffy likes to sleep on her back when she is in her crate, otherwise it is usually in the sprawled out position.
