Nancy, Something like that was why I gave up even trying plumbing repairs anymore.

Oh Dr. Judy, I know how you feel about the HOA Gestapo. I have had to deal with them on both fronts. I sat on the board of our HOA for 7+ years. I can't tell you how many times I was contacted by "concerned homeowners" about any number of perceived negligence's of neighbors and their pets (especially cats who like to torment non-cat people by simply staring at them). But I have been on the receiving end as well from the landscape police because I didn't clean up poo in my front yard that was left by someone else's dog while I was at work. It is pretty apparent that I have far too many Gladys Kravitz-es living in my neighborhood. :-O

Clark and F., regarding plumbing mishaps: I found that the faucet in our laundry room was leaking. DH took a look and, wonderfully immediately went to the home store and bought a new faucet. He tried changing it but it was rusted on and he kept banging on the pipe to loosen it. Finally, he got the thing changed, turned the water to the house back on and voila' we had water running down both inside and outside the wall. The next day the plumber came and repaired it correctly in about 15 minutes!!! Shoulda called him first!

I am interested in knowing more about how you screw into your sewer line.

Unfortunately, but good for Lucca, he won't go in our backyard unless he has no other option. So...we walk 4 times a day. We have "islands" in our street and I was accosted by a neighbor for my dog sniffing. The same deal...sick of people letting their dogs poo, blah, blah, blah. I very blatently said.."excuse me..look at that poo 9the size of it), does that look like my dog did that!!! I also put up "doggie stations" on some of the islands (empty milk containers filled with bags). The person shut up rather quickly...lol

I am very proud to say, we spent A LOT of money this year to get poop stations in our camp. We have now poop stations all thru the park with baggies attached and garbage cans nearby. I am very lucky now when I walk Samson in the park. Of course, in the winter time, I'm on my own and I carry bags with me, but now, during the spring, summer and fall..I have full service poop stations!!! Yayee!!

I agree entirely Karen but I would stake my life on the fact, that anyone of our Doodlekisses members would never, ever leave poop on someone's lawn. If we are conscientious dog owners to members of a website about our dogs, then I know we would never do that. I live in a lovely neighborhood in So. Cal but sadly have to walk my dog in the road because I have been accosted four different times now with Frankie (she is only 9 months) about her pooing or peeing on their lawns. Four times I humbly have shown them my bright purple doggie bags and explained I cannot control their pee habits but all them were nasty and aggressive and told me they were "sick of people not cleaning up after their dogs" I just happened to be the poor target who they all decided to vent on. Anyway, needless to say, I am a very passive person and hate confrontation so now I take our lives in our hands and walk the mile in the side of the road until I get to the open field for her to smell to her heart's content. Because our dogs have the lab mix in them they adore the sniffing part and that is what I was being busted for. Not once did any of these people actually see Frankie defecating in anyway on their precious lawns. I found myself apologizing for others and just walking on with our heads held high, but I really wanted to say was "you must be miserable person, why don't you get a doodle...it will bring happiness into your life" Ha ha..Just thought I would share that one.

Just wanted to vent about people who do not clean up after their dogs Yesterday I spent more time telling Chewie "No" or "Leave It" than enjoying our walk. Please remember to bring your bags to clean up your dog's poop!! Thanks

Darn it all. Our cleanout is right in the middle of the front yard in a flower bed. And the 3 here poop in the fenced back yard, I wouldn't even mind walking around and popping it in the cleanout, BUT, I live in an HOA here in South Florida, and I guarantee the "condo" commando gang will start citing me to the Board. You know, it's like if you amble out to the mailbox in shorts and a tee shirt instead of a suit and heels a haging is in store. It's a great idea, worthy here of a move!

Motto: No home improvement is as simple as it first seems and you are always missing something or it's the wrong size!
