Wendy, where are you getting your puppy from? From OMD in Staunton?

My vet is Salem Vet Clinic for now- which is right down the road from our house. They were recommended to me from friends that use him. My appt is Monday am so I can let you know what I think after that.

Tracey, May I ask who your vet is? OR Does anyone else wanna share what vet they use if you are happy with them?

I am looking for a new vet.

My yard isn't large but it is a yard :) I don't know when we too would be ready for a romp. I pick him up 5/15 and am so excited!

Anyone unsure of how many vaccinations they want to do?

Unfortunately, I don't. :-( It is fenced in, but just not large enough bc of the pool taking up most of it.

Does anyone have a large yard we can meet at?

awesome Tracey, thanks for confirming we me on that :) I have a condo with just a large patio so unfortunately I cannot offer a large yard either. I hope someone else can!

I was just going to post about that! =) I was talking to my vet last night (luckily a good friend of mine), and she said as long as their vacs are up to date, totally fine and recommended to get him some socialization while in 'quarantine' ;). I'd offer up my place, but not sure there's quite enough running-around room for a romp!

If someone has a large yard we could do it there, that way the littler pups could join in. Leslie and Tracey your pups are more than safe to play with fully vaccinated dogs, as long as it is an area like someones private home. That ensures it is parvo free and safe for them. Kensi started playing with my parents 110lb lab the days she came home at 8 weeks old in my parents yard.

Red Wing park is the only dog park I'm familiar with. Where else is a good place?

What a great idea! I can't wait til Atticus can run with the big dogs, but he'll be too young for a while.I guess I need to see when he'll have his last set of shots and join in then! I'd love to see everyone and their pups.
