Where's the Poodle in my Doodle?

This group is for those of us with puppies or dogs who look far more like the Golden or Labrador halves of themselves than the Poodle half. This group is for us to recognize the Poodle traits that shape our dogs while sharing experiences.

Impossible to predict shedding with a puppy. Even those who end up as heavy shedders in adulthood don't usually shed much until they go through the coat change between 6-12 months of age.

Good Morning!

We adopted our little f1b goldendoodle last week at a 11 weeks. To me, she looks like she will have a flat coat, but she is getting a bit more hair on her forehead that makes me wonder. Thankfully, she is barely shedding, but I am so hoping that stays! Any thoughts?

We love him even though he wasn't what we expected.  He's a great dog and loves all our grandchildren.

Hank is perfect. Since Springers are my ❤️ Dog, I’m so in love with Hank- from his size to his freckle/ticking to that silly smile. Love, love, love!

Wow, Hank has great coloring. I would  think springer spaniel as well.

Hank is now 15 months old and appears to be getting some longer fur.  All of his litter mates are super fluffy & doodly.  He’s getting long white fur up his legs , sides & back.  He is also getting some longer curls on his butt.  People still think he’s a Springer Spaniel or English Setter...he’s 83.5lbs.   He’s such a great dog and has become my hiking buddy.

Hi!  We just joined doolekisses, and here is my Maple.  She was an impulse buy as we had puppy fever.  Found Maple via Kijiji (mistake) but she is ours now.  Seller posted the litter as Goldern Retriever and Apricot American Standard Poodle.  She is 10wks today, weighed in at 13lbs on Sat.  She is quite smart and is learning very quickly.  She has a 'Taz' or 'Witching' hour between 7pm - 8:30pm and then calms right down.  She looks very different from my first Golden Doodle (gone due to cancer 3 years ago).  After contacting the seller as I had some doubts, she continues to say she is Golden/Poodle but said they do not provide pictures.  Whats with that!  Anyways heres to hoping she really is a Golden Doodle, I see similarities with other pics in this group.  Maple has curly ears, soft coat (very little wave on her head) Thoughts?

Jeremy, he reminds me very much of Lori’s Pippa except for color. I’m on my phone so can’t post a link to her page. She’s Lori, Daphne, Lucy, and Pippa. You can go to her page and see lots of wonderful photos of her ‘girls’ including Pippa.
