Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This group is for those of us with puppies or dogs who look far more like the Golden or Labrador halves of themselves than the Poodle half. This group is for us to recognize the Poodle traits that shape our dogs while sharing experiences.

Here is a picture of Whiskey, our 13 week old F1B Goldendoodle. Definitely a shedder but we love him anyway.
Has as a funny coat. Fleecy, wavy all over from the forehead back. Has a mustache far back on the muzzle and looks to be getting more hair between the eyes.
Anyone seen even one like him or have any idea how he might end up?
She definitely has facial furnishings and a fluffy body, Peggy. She is absolutely adorable. Some doodles have a combination coat - some of it sheds and some of is appears not to shed or to shed less. Holly doesn't have her adult coat yet, so anything could happen. My experience is that if they shed as puppies, they will continue to shed even after the coat change. Keep on top of the brushing/combing (all the way to the skin) because she might very well easily mat.
Kristine A., Teddy’s color is gorgeous. Some Goldens darken with maturity. My cream with red undertones is now apricot).
Patti, your pup is adorable; lovely color; nice little body. Incicators of looking doodley as an adult are that ‘chrysanthemum’ between the eyes (which usually indicates that they’ll have facial furnishings) and some curl on the ears (which I don’t see either), but sometimes it takes a while so one never really knows until they are older.
Peggy, I’d love to see a photo
of Holly. With doodles, she could have a single or double coat and range from non- to heavy shedding.
This is Holly. She is just now 4 months old. My sister calls her Dust Mop. Her hair separates like dreadlocks. Still waiting for puppy coat to fall out. Took her in for first puppy trim during heat wave, and groomer said; “I don’t know what she is. She sheds. Her top coat is Lab and bottom coat (closer to skin) is poodle.” My husband said she didn’t know what she is talking about. Obviously, inexperienced in trimming doodles as clipper line around ankles. Will be looking for new groomer.
