He looks to be more of the straight coat to me. If you research the 3 different coat types and look at the pictures of straight coat you can see what he may look like. Some do have a little facial hair but not full beards. Once he reaches 1 year old that is the coat he will have. He is adorable! When I was first looking for a doodle I wanted one with more the retriever look but I guess you usually can't get that with an F1. (Think it's very uncommon) I wasn't a big fan of the poodle look but it has grown on me and I now love it. Im going back for my second doodle out of the same parents. Looks like you are not to far from me. Where did you get your doodle?

Anyone one here have a doodle pretty much like mine? His hair seems to be getting longer on his front legs and on the ears and back of head. He's almost 13 weeks and hair is still short on nose. He has the perfect attitude and love him to pieces. Just wondering if he'll get a funky look or not! He is definitely looking golden to me.

Tiki, the 2nd icon from the left on top of the comment box is the way to add an image. You cant do it from a phone or iPad though :(

Jennifer, my Gingy didn't have any furnishings when we first got her. Everyone told me that she would never get the furnishings and would be more retriever but she did get it. You can look at the old pictures and see that she didn't have anything in the beginning. I will pay a current picture in a few.

I love the Pho-Hawk too. It is fun to see the variation in coats. Rosie is pretty Fluffy on her body and legs, she has long hair on her cheeks and chin but short hair on the nose (No mustache), and the hair is flat on the top of her head. Rosie sheds as well.

Yes, Unfortunately Pippa does shed. She has straight hair just like a Golden Retriever. I knew what I was getting though so I was prepared for that. We just love her so much that I can overlook that extra hair. The good news is that she does not need to go to the groomer like my other two!

I wanted a different color than my first goldendoodle so that Cali wouldn't be an exact replacement. However, I was expected some fluff. Lori, does Pippa shed? My fluffy doodle didn't shed at all. Not so sure about Cali.
