Where's the Poodle in my Doodle?

This group is for those of us with puppies or dogs who look far more like the Golden or Labrador halves of themselves than the Poodle half. This group is for us to recognize the Poodle traits that shape our dogs while sharing experiences.

Trisha, you just never know with these doodles! There is a group with before and after pics. Maybe you will find someone with a similar puppy coat. Gracie is scruffie and she's f1. Your puppy looks more wavy than my Goldendoodle puppy - so I bet you have curls in your future! I guess I missed that you had posted that he was an f1b. ;)
What's his name?

He's an F1b Lyndy. Mom is an F1 labradoodle with the scruffy "hair" coat and dad is standard poodle. Thanks for your thoughts. It's so hard to tell as puppies.

That was supposed to say: Gingy is adorable too!

Tiki, aging I is adorable too! I'm thinking scruffy, but who knows any thing is possible with doodles. Did you happen to look at others with a similar coat? The one pic I saw she reminds me of a doodle on here named Banks who belongs to Amanda. Her doodle is a smooth coat.
As far as jumping - ah that's a tough one, but make sure that anything she does is four on the floor if she's getting praised or treats. Keep her on a leash when you are around others so that you can step on it and keep her from jumping to greet guests.

Trish what a cutie! I'd at least think he will be wavy. What generation of doodle is he?

Hi everyone! I'm new to the group and to the site. I will be picking up my first labradoodle in a couple of weeks. He's 6 weeks old right now. I'm hoping to get some thoughts from experienced doodle owners as to what type of coat he might have. I know they change over time, but I'm just curious to get thoughts if anyone had a similar looking puppy. He's an F1b and the mother is very scruffy. Thanks!

My doodle is almost 4 months and I'm still waiting for the fluff? Will it come? When does it usually show up? Also, any tricks or advice on how to keep my flying doodle from jumping on everyone?!

Hi all! I'm a first time doodle owner and was wondering what type of coat you all think my goldendoodle, Ginny, will have? She's 4 months old. sge has a bit of wave but not too much. She's also got a lot of longer, wispy whit hair! Thanks!
