Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This group is for those of us with puppies or dogs who look far more like the Golden or Labrador halves of themselves than the Poodle half. This group is for us to recognize the Poodle traits that shape our dogs while sharing experiences.

Hi Breanna,
It's really hard to tell what a pup will look like as an adult, what I do see is that Oakley is a bit "fluffier" than Luna was at that age. I think you'll have a better idea of how he will end up in about 6 months.
Oakley looks a little like my dog when she was a pup, but it's hard to predict how he will change. We love our little "retriever". Oakley sure is cute!
New member to this group! Our pup Oakley is about 11 weeks old and has pretty straight hair. You can see some wave in his face and front legs and especially his ears. I'm wondering what he is going to look like! His mom is an F1 Goldendoodle and his Dad is an F2 Goldendoodle. I hope he has loose wavy hair as he gets older and looks more like a doodle than a retriever. We love him all the same though! Anyone have a dog who looked similar as a pup?
I was reading my post below (Aug 4 2011) and wondering where izzy's doodle coat was!! Her full coat didn't come in until she was around 18 months old. I called her a "work in progress". No matter.. if her doodle coat came in or not she was and is a perfect joy. Goofy, fun, smart doodle personality all the way!!!
Asha - Dog owner sappiness happens to the best of us. ;-) Murray is so cute just the way he is. My pup is almost 2 now and looks 90% golden retriever and I wouldn't change that for anything!
Hi! I'm new! My name is Asha and my pup is called Murray. I have been so concerned about his poodle-ness not coming through. But to tell truth, I love him dearly regardless. Never thought i'd be a sappy dog-owner, but I so am! So happy to find this group; inspired me to join the site. Thanks for having me!
Lolli is growing a beard! Cutest thing EVER.
Hello everyone, I am new to the group (and 2 weeks away from taking home a North American Retriever (Doubledoodle) and have some questions for veteran doodle owners. Our new dog is 5/8 Poodle, 1/4 Golden and 1/8 Lab (F1b labradoodle x 50/50goldendoodle). I have a daughter with a slight allergy to dogs. We have had her at the breeders several times and rubbed the dog all over her, she has given him kisses, held and played with him for two hours at a time and of course he has licked her face, hands and arms. We have never seen any type of reaction...no runny nose, rash itchy eyes or any other symptom of a reaction. We have noticed a little shedding after playing with him on some black clothes. He has short, non wavy hair. He looks very lab like to me and I am wondering if anyone has any experiences with a more retriever looking dog with allergies and shedding? I have attached a picture of him sleeping at 5 weeks (I know it is a little early to tell for sure) and would love to know if anyone has one like him and your experience?
I think I may have a black, male version of Lily Belle.
