The photos of Casey jumping over Lefty are out of order, since they truly represent a jump for the toy. Casey has become the alpha in our pack, and is Lefty's social director. They're inseparable. If Lefty's out and Casey's in, Casey noses our back door until we let Lefty in. But, seeing two Doodles together would be a joy! We have a goldendoodle in our 'Hood, and watching him with Casey, one can see their similar play patterns.

That sounds about right...so say hi to "Aunt Cassie" for us! ;-)

Not surprisingly, we love the Bark and Purr (or the B 'N' P, as we call it) too! Casey is so discriminating around people, it's fun to watch his response to them. Dogs, he loves. People---Casey really is sensitive to people's energy, and responds accordingly. But, he's gotten used to people fawning all over him because he's so gorgeous---I know the same thing happens to Cassie! We'll have to get our Doodles together sometime. Casey's best friend is our 8 year old Corgi, Lefty. But Corgi's have very different behavioral and play patterns than Doodles, so I'd love to see Casey with a Doodle. He loves the Poodles, Schnauzers, and other misc. neighborhood canine "buds".

Is your neighbor's bichon/poodle mix the adorable Rufus in the video? I don't know exactly how much Casey weighs. When I got on our scale, and then lifted him, the difference was 40 lbs, but he's probably more like 35 or so. He's surprisingly hefty for such a lithe little dog!

Burrs were terrible this year! We'd walk Casey, and I'd spend the rest of the evening de-burring him. It's much better now---either because the burrs are fewer, or because of his trim. The variables are confounded. Casey fetches, but rather half-heartedly. But, mercy, he wants his "Walkie!". When the burrs were really bad, or it was really muddy, we'd drive him to Central Park, and walk around that path and have a glass of vino at Central Market. Between the walk, and all the adoring attention he got on the Central Market patio, he was content.

Casey's parents are Bella and Radicchio. He gets the white spot on his chest from his dad. Your Cassie is beautiful! Black Doodles are so attractive. So Cassie likes TV, too? Casey notices when we watch Animal Planet and he hears a dog barking. The barking is not to his liking! How big is Cassie? I take it you don't walk Cassie in Hemphill Park, where we do our daily jaunts. Maybe Cassie is why the West End Groomers are so enthusiastic about Labradoodles. We got Casey a summer hair cut for the first time a week or so ago, and the folks at WEG *really* love labradoodles (over goldendoodles, interestingly, since our neighbors have a goldendoodle also groomed there).

Cassie is so cute! I noticed you mentioned in the Central Texas Doodles group that she is from Dixie's Doodles. My Shelby is also! I have started a Dixie's Doodles Alumni group... I'd love to have you join - I think it would be fun to keep connected and maybe we can find owners of our pups litter mates! Hope you have a great weekend!
