What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: I have a Goldendoodle, named Stella, who is just over 4 years old. I adopted her in 2006 when she was 15 months old (I really wish I had her during her puppy years). The photo in my thumbnail was taken the day I first met her. Stella is boisterous, funny, smart, sweet, crafty (she has perfected the art of stealth counter surfing), affectionate, charmingly stubborn (as her former owner put it) and mischievous (life would be dull without a little mischief!).

Stella's current companion is a Lab/Shepherd/Chow mix who is approximately 8-10 years old (he is a shelter rescue). My experience with dogs has pretty much been limited to larger breeds-- I had a Bloodhound in the past and several Great Danes during my childhood.

I am now fostering a great mini Dood, Coco/Cocoa, for the DRC!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I love the zany Doodle personality.

I have been aware of Doodles for quite some time, however, my interest in them heightened when I fell in love with a former boyfriend's Labradoodle. The relationship ended, but my interest in Doodles remained.

Fast forward... a friend of mine was approached by a co-worker who was looking for a new home for his family's Goldendoodle. My friend could not take in a dog, however, he remembered how much I adored my former boyfriend's Labradoodle and encouraged this co-worker to consider me for the adoption. I met with the family and fell in love with Stella the first moment I saw her poking her head through their back door!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: I groom her myself (hence the very imperfect cut).

Funny, he doesn't attempt to get fresh with Samantha so for a boy that has not had any life experiences he definitely has sense! That has been the only issue I have had. He is a smart boy - just needs obedience training which has forever family is already working on. He is going to have one FANTASTIC life with them. They joined DK - Eileen Lukens. Glad to know we can keep up with him.
He was groomed yesterday and looks incredible. His coloring is just magnificent - even better after the grooming, if that was possible.

How could it not be - he was so skinny (7 lbs underweight), SCARED TO DEATH of everything, horrendous case of kennel cough & sarcopic mange. Took him 3 days to move off a step he chose as his 'safe place' to join us even for a few minutes. Just to watch him grow in weight, confidence and personality had us hook, line and sinker BUT he was never ours to keep. Our daughter & SIL were going to adopt him from us from day 1! That explains Charli - had to have a 2nd! Will NEVER have only 1 Doodle again!!!
I can't wait to meet him - hopefully soon!!!
