I am not a doodle owner yet, but I want to get one to train as a service dog for my son who has down syndrome (and because I love doodles!). Anyone here have a doodle service dog? Any input/ advice…Continue

- I'm a single mom of 3 kids. Our puppy, Remy, is in training to be a service dog for my son (5) who has Down syndrome.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Remy is a parti-colored (chocolate/white) Australian Labradoodle.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I chose the Labradoodle because of their intelligence, trainability, great temperament, and propensity for service.

- Yes!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- So far, just one visit to PetSmart for nail trim & sanitary.

Karin - I am so excited for you and your son!!! I'm here for whatever questions that you have. You can send me a private email. Rooney did the training with Leslie and trust me - it is worth every dime!!! Your puppy will come to you pretty much trained but Leslie will be there through email or phone to help you along the way. This puppy will be SMART but you need to be the pack leader and not let the cuteness get in the way. Remember - the puppy will look to you to be the leader. I so look forward to your future posts and pictures and am here to help if need be!!
Exciting news Karin!!! My name is Carli and I have a 5 month old puppy from Seaspray!!! Waited a year for him, but worth the wait for sure!!! They are amazing and you will definitely get a very well loved, socialized and trained dog, even at only 8 weeks!!! I did the extra training with Leslie, so we didn't get Hank until 11 weeks....I highly recommend it!!! Crate trained, essentially potty trained, and very well behaved already at 11 weeks!
And by the way, I have a friend here in my neighborhood that has a Truffles baby as well, he is 4 now, but an awesome dog!!
