Second Child Syndrome

I am a second child. My brother has tons more childhood pictures than I do. My mom had a baby book for each of us. My brother's is filled out in great detail...mine, well, there is a one liner about the fact that I was born and that is where my mom lost interest I think. So I swore I would never do that to my second child. Turns out human children weren't in the cards for me so my first "child" was Murphy. Wilson and Murphy had a playdate today with Wilson's littermate, his sister, Indie and Murphy's full brother from a different litter, Tyler. All four have the same daddy so they are all siblings/half siblings. It was almost too much cuteness for me to handle. They are all so sweet, smart and cute. I can't believe my sweet baby Murphy turned two years old today! Murphy is my first dog in my adult life...he has totally changed my world. There are no words to explain the love that I feel for my Murphy Doodle. He is the sweetest, most soulful, sensitive, intuitive and brilliant creature I have ever known. Baby Wilson was neutered today...hard to believe he will be six months old next week.
I waited until this morning to tell him where he was going today as I didn't want him to worry his little doodle head about it. So I woke up early and told him all about what would happen today and all he wanted to know was why he didn't get to eat breakfast.
On the way to the vet I realized this would be the first time I had ever taken Wilson anywhere and left him...so I worried about it all…

Ned just got into the gifts and tore into a box of tea sent to my mom! WTD???? My dogs haven't gotten into Xmas presents in years - of course I put chocolate and known food items up - but tea????? I don't think Ned is even getting coal in his stocking!
Hmmmmm. . . . Naughty or Nice - my doodles both fall in the naughty range. Santa came early with three 'indestructible' toys which Clancy ripped the squeakers out of in five minutes. And Ned keeps stealing the toy from our poor old Springer . . . . so it is coal for the doodles and cookies for the Springer. Thanks for the wonderful holiday card with two doodles on Santa's Nice list.
