Profile Information

About Me:
I am an avid animal lover who has found the best dog in the world to be the Australian Labradoodle. I live with my loving boyfriend, Rob, in Portland Oregon with our 4 doodles, 3 cats, and saltwater fish. We both enjoy outdoor and indoor activities and can never get too much time with our loving pups.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We breed Standard Australian Labradoodles from Rutland and Tegan bloodlines. We are proud to be a guardian breeders for OregonLabradoodles.com who have specialized in service doodles of all sizes (minis, mediums, standards) since 2001. We have just recently started our own website...RainbowDoodles.com...but continue to work with Sheila and OregonLabradoodles.

We started our program with our stud, Logan, who is a standard spiral chalk fleece/wool coat with a rose nose. We have been studding him out over the past 4 years and he has been an absolute dream dog and the perfect dad.

Rutland's Kia, our lavender doodle, joined our household in the summer of 2008. She lived in Australia prior to coming to live with us here in the states. Kia has a very loving personality. Everyone we have come into contact with has asked us if Kia is a service dog and of course what color and type of dog is Kia? We smile, and proudly tell people exactly who she is and the many benefits and joys of being an Australian Labradoodle owner.

Oregon's Meisha joined our program in 2009. Meisha is a standard abstract lavender doodle. Her mom is Oregon's Kali and dad is Canadoodles' Quigley. Kali has recently retired so we brought Meisha into our program to continue Kali's bloodline. Meisha is one special little girl who is currently in service training. She is working with Rob and accompanies him on his deliveries for Meals on Wheels. Meisha will have her first litter late 2010.

We also have a medium black fleece doodle named Celie. She is ball lover who will play fetch all day long. She's also a lap dog who loves to roll over on your lap and get her belly rubbed. Celie and Meisha are best friends and love playing all day and night.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Love the look, the feel, the temperment, the intellegence, the non-shed coat, the allergy-friendliness, and of course their playful personalities that seem to be so very specific to the breed. Did I forget to mention I love doodle hugs and doodle kisses?
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
We like to go for walks, camping, hiking, swimming, play ball, take road trips, play in the snow, training, and of course lounge around the house and snuggle.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Searching for the perfect groomer. Our previous Groomer just moved out of State. Currently using PetSmart Grooming.
Favorite Doodle Products?
Food - Canidae
Potty Training - Premier Pet Red Cedar Bedding
Puppy Cleaning - Sergeants fur so fresh Oatmeal
Toys - Kong Products, Ropes, Pentapulls, and Tuff Products. They seem to chew through everything else
Treats - Milkbones; Pet Botanics training reward

Hi Scott, I saw your inquiry about a stud but couldn't open that discussion. I have a silver male, 18 1/2 inches tall, 32 pounds, 7 months of age. No prelim testing has been done yet, I didn't expect to still have him, but he is just gorgeous. See our (partially completed) website at www.AspenLeafLabradoodles.com - he is on the bottom of the puppy page. My email is rdawgs303@hotmail.com please feel free to contact me with any further questions. Thank you! - Amy

OM Gosh, I saw your profile pic and initially thought it was my Harlow. She just turned 1 on Thursday and we will be doing her certs in the next month or so. We are just beginning our search for a BF for her. She is a f1b and I am hoping to find a chocolate standard ALD stud.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for all your help. Sheila did sent me the results of the test and all is good on this end. Boomer made the month of November and my golden doodle made the December page of the same calander. This is the 2010 combined calander. Thanks again for all your help.

Happy Holiday's,

Jim

Scott,

Just checking back with you to see if Sheila received the results of the eye test yet? By the way did you see that Boomer make the doodle calender this year?

Scott,

Thanks so much for the communication. Sheila can forward the results when she gets back. It's just nice to know we have a timeframe to complete the tests.

Scott,

Thank you very much for your comments and getting back with me. I really appreciate your explanation and now that I know what is going on I will be patient. By the way, Boomer is a great dog with a fantastic personality and we are constantly being stopped on walks be people admiring him.

Scott,

I am reaching out to you for some help. On March 24th you responded to a discussion regarding a problem that I was having trying to get a copy of a PRA showing testing results for Nikki of Oregon Labradoodles. Your posting was very good and you had written that this matter would be taken care of ASAP. I waited six months and wrote another email to try to get a copy of the test results and do not even get an answer to my email. I think waiting one year to get this paperwork in being patient. Can you please talk to the owners of Oregon Labradoodles and ask them to send me the paperwork on Nikki that I was promised over one year ago.

Thanks for helping.

Hi Scott, my Zoey is from the same bloodline that you are breeding...these are great "furkids" and I think it is wonderful what you are doing with Paws.
