Profile Information

About Me:
Computer tech, web designer.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
My husband George and I are the proud parents of two beautiful furry family members. Our first child, Ellie, is an almost 9yr old mini buff Cocker.
Our newest family member is Oaklee, a mini Australian Labradoodle who came to her forever home on 8/2/08. She is the light of our lives and has brought back out the happy puppy in Ellie!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I liked the combination of breeds and everything I'd heard and read about this very special breed.
The temperament sounded perfect for our family and we wanted a good friend for our older dog.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
EVERYTHING! Morning playtime, walking, training, playing fetch, watching her happily grow into the truly awsome dog that she is!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
A Picture Purrfect Grooming in Viera, FL
Favorite Doodle Products?
The Teething Kong BY FAR has been the best aid in Oaklee's teething process. She also has the complete assortment of other Kong toys.

Married

Susie,

Hi, I got your message and I apologize for the inconvenience. I do not save the messages.

When you return to the Owner Recommended Breeders group be sure to follow the guide. Scan the breeders listed already to see if your breeder has a recommendation, if she does simply reply to their existing recommendation in lieu of starting a new discussion, this helps us save room.

Hi susie,

Since our doodle sheds a little, it is not hard to brush him and get the matts out of his fur. He loves to be brushed, which we have done since he was little. It's one of our little morning rituals.

Hi! You bring up very good point on the twirling nose hair thing. I wonder if that would be good, but not sure if the short ends make them itch? You may want to ask you vet, and net time I go , I will ask. I have a mini poodle from a vet breeder, and the dog has terrible ears. I can barely find the canal. She does not believe in plucking the ears because is can cause infection,BUT, they are terrible without it also , so infection is still there. I think she may just not like to do it, but point is some do it and some do not. I am not sure. I try and trim around the outside, but the inside hair I just hate to pull out, although one of my poodles it almost falls out with hardly any effort. Doodles, though, I am not sure if it hurts them. Puppies are fine! Me, I have so many projects to try and get done, that I just freeze and do nothing it seems, even though I am constantly on the go. Scissors are really hard to use as you run the risk of cutting them, as some mats are so close. You have to use trimmers pretty much for closer grooming. I have not mastered it at all, as I mentioned, so you may want to ask some others also! Let me know what you find out! Have a nice day! Klee

Have to laugh! I SHOULD have taken a course. I would love to take a course actually, but for the time. I mean, my poor dogs all look like ragged plucked chickens. Some parts are easier to do than others on them, and I still have not quite figured out the proper angle for the blades and clipper, as sometimes it cuts smooth as silk, and other times, it seems really dull and not cutting.

I need to take pics of all my new breeding parents, but I should have doneit before I turned them into a ragtag group of almost naked doodles. Puppies are all well, and I went to vet with another mother for pre-pregnancy testing and even got a flu shot. Busy day. Fun , though. klee

You are welcome! It is fun to have something to do while I am sitting by birthing mother, in between puppies! Oh, also, I love your cocker spaniel. i had one that was so super . Her name was Heidi. Adored her, same color as yours, and then, I had a cockapoo, named Fluffy.

Bye for now! Back to making sure all the new little lives each have a nipple to suckle! The first three days is when they get all the important immunities from their mother, that carry them through the first two months of their life, when they then start getting their puppy shots, to further their own immunities. I loved hearing about all your beloved pets. I bet the huskador was an incredible pet. Oaklee is truly lovely. I just adore the black ones. I have a brother and his wife that live in Winnetka, Illinois and hang at Lake Mi. now and then, but they also have a place in Maui, so no doodle that I am aware of. I love my one labradoodle female and her puppies also, a lot.

Really nice chatting this morning, and I am glad you liked my book. Have a super day! I know what I will be doing all day, ( birthing puppies) and it is a lovely one, always, for that. Kathryn lee, makewayfordoodles!

Hi ! I just want to say welcome, and also, that I love black doodles. I am delivering some light and dark puppies right now, and thus far two lights, one black. I love the surprising variation that Nature gives! Already, picking out names, but I, of course, cannot keep them all. I love florida also! kathryn lee, makewayfordoodles!

Hi Susie! How are you and your furbabies doing? Have not seen you around too much. I did want to point out that there are many groups you may have an interest in ~ mini & medium doodles, Australian Doodles, Florida doodles, jump on in when you have the opportunity, but be warned ~ it can become addictive!
