I can't believe Hershey is 1 years old today! It seems like we just brought him home. I still feel like like we are going through crazy Puppydom, in fact we still are. Hershey is a goofy as ever. He can run by the coffee table and steal something right off, without skipping a beat! 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.....



This morning Hershey took a few steps back in the "Dogs don't soil in their dens" department. We woke to take our sweet puppy out, only to find him standing in his poops and tinkle. Apparently, in the middle of the night he pooped twice and tinkled, laid in it and walked through it, creating a "pinkle" mess in his kennel and his fur. We never even heard a peep out of him all night. The last time he was out was after midnight. He's not had an… Continue

I woke the other day and looked at Hershey and thought, "wow, he's getting big" I asked my husband, "Is it just me, or has Hershey gotten bigger over night?" No, I'm not imagining it....



When we brought Hershey home from the breeder, he was 6.8 lbs at 8 weeks. At 10 weeks back to the vet for more booster shots and he weighed in at 11.2 lbs. Hershey went to the vet today for his rabies shot and at 13 weeks he weighed in at 22.6 lbs! And his feet are HUGE! He has gotten tall and lanky,… Continue

A great white shark has nothing on Hershey's chomp. And when he finds something he wants there's no letting go. To him, it's a game, to my daughter and the hem of her skirt, it's not. I have barked loudly "NO" with my super mom-dog bark, and he, "grrrrrs" back at me. I have to laugh at his tenacity, talk about a dog with a bone. I told him is stubbornness will come in handy when he's a lawyer.

I had forgotten what it's like having a brand new puppy in the house.



Hershey is a cross between an adorable stuffed animal, a toddler in the terrible 2s and a defiant teenager. He's so cute and so bad all at once. How often can you bathe a puppy, because he likes to tinkle on the floor and then, somehow get it all over him. He managed to get my grocery list off the fridge and chomp it to pieces.
