I woke the other day and looked at Hershey and thought, "wow, he's getting big" I asked my husband, "Is it just me, or has Hershey gotten bigger over night?" No, I'm not imagining it....

When we brought Hershey home from the breeder, he was 6.8 lbs at 8 weeks. At 10 weeks back to the vet for more booster shots and he weighed in at 11.2 lbs. Hershey went to the vet today for his rabies shot and at 13 weeks he weighed in at 22.6 lbs! And his feet are HUGE! He has gotten tall and lanky, long legs and substantial feet.

He looks like he is in need of a trip to the hair stylist, his dye job is growing out and his blond roots are showing. ;-D

We are really enjoying this lanky, goofy doodle!

Penny is 20lbs at 13 weeks, final adult weight seems to be a mystery to look forward doesn't it? We get such a chuckle at the size of Penny's paws, just like snow shoes! I swear every time she stretches in her sleep you can visibly see her grow! Just love Hershey's color, aptly named.

He is just getting cuter and cuter. So does their weight at 8 weeks kind of tell you approximately how big they will get?

I'm experiencing the same thing with Gus and Molly. I swear that sometimes they look bigger after a nap! They must grow when they're sleeping. I like this long, lanky and goofy stage; it's a laugh a minute!

wow that is a huge weight gain, don't think I have ever had a dog gain that much weight in 3wks. time, with the exception of Holly who was my rescue Rottweiler.

My Toby was 5 pounds at 8 weeks, and now, at 11 months, he is over 60!! He definitely surpassed the breeder's estimate, and ours, but that's okay. :) He went from 5 pounds at 8 weeks, to 10 pounds at 12 weeks, to 20 pounds at 16 weeks, and fortunately stopped doubling his weight at each check-up after that.
