Chelsea and her doodle Piper's Blog (6)

I was at Costco yesterday and overheard an older woman talking about a wonderful type of dog that doesn't shed, is super cute, has poodle in its line etc. I asked if she was talking about a labradoodle. And then, in total seriousness, she said, yes! I have a S*** POO at home and we just LOVE her! It took all my control not to bust out laughing!!! I don't know that was a mispronunciation or what, but HELLO, that is just funny! :o)

So Piper is growing up! He lost his first tooth on Sunday and has lost 5 more since then! At this rate, he will have to be on a liquid diet soon! It is a little gross, I have to say. Even Piper doesn't want to play tug as much with his toys because he must have some wiggly teeth in there that feel weird! I felt like a proud mother when he lost the first one. I guess that makes me a crazy dog lady...but that's ok! :o)

Ok, so Piper is doing SO great these days. We just can't get enough of our little furball! He is getting older...almost 5 months now. So, I have been curious (well, not THAT curious) to see if his lipstick would appear. He was neutered at 7 weeks, so I was hoping that he would remain a girly man forever. Well, no such luck. I just have to say that I am finally getting to SEE the reasons we got a doodle, in Piper! He is now 14 weeks, and the first month I had wondered if we had a made a mistake. But as of the last 2 weeks, something just seemed to click with him! He is actually getting along with our daughter and not using her for a chew toy, not ripping all of our clothes and overall being a wonderful amazing little guy! We have had 2 great days in a row with our little crazy. We have been training training training. Today, though, I bought a clicker. Ok, let me just say...FUN. Not only is it tre fun to click, but it produced awesome results with ADD boy! I think he actually loves it as much as I do.



When my husband came home tonight, I felt like "Crazy Dog Lady" as I like to call it...treats in pocket, clicker in hand, leash tied to my belt, and feeling over-all a bit gross from doing so much dog… Continue

It is exactly one week today that we have had our little 8 week old "bundle of joy" (smirk) Piper. It has been an emotionally draining week for sure...thinking that our breeder had tricked us into spending a ridiculous amount of money for a vampire who loves to pee on everything and was sent to destroy our house. :o)
