About Me:: I am a 31 year old stay at home mom. I have a wonderful husband and a 5 year old daughter...and now a new puppy. I feel like a new mom with all the craziness that comes with it. I have to brag that the kiddo was potty trained in 3 days (day and night), and so was the doodle. :o)

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have our long awaited multi-gen Australian labradoodle, Piper. He is berserk. Or we are...one of the two. Update: Piper is the BEST puppy. He is now 13 months old, and we LOVE him. He is a huge cuddler, wishes he was a lap dog. He can be left alone in the house as long as needed with out crating, and does nothing bad. Has never chewed on anything other than his toys, etc. It is amazing to be able to say this, since we had a rough few months with Piper when we first got him! Love our little doodle!

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I first got interested in doodles when I learned that many do not shed. After having 2 large dogs that were heavy shedders, this sounded awesome. And then everything else about them was icing on the cake!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: I love playing with Piper. He is smart and such a clown, that I can't help but laugh at the games we end up playing. It is fun going to the dog park too. Oh, I also love that he has somehow figured out that if he sleeps on the bedroom floor all night, he will be welcomed up to my bed in the morning. So every morning at 5:50, piper jumps into bed, cuddles up and goes right back to sleep. So sweet.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: A groomer. I trip out his mats.

I was at Costco yesterday and overheard an older woman talking about a wonderful type of dog that doesn't shed, is super cute, has poodle in its line etc. I asked if she was talking about a labradoodle. And then, in total seriousness, she said, yes! I have a S*** POO at home and we just LOVE her! It took all my control not to bust out laughing!!! I don't know that was a mispronunciation or what, but HELLO, that is just funny! :o)

Growing up loosing his teethers

So Piper is growing up! He lost his first tooth on Sunday and has lost 5 more since then! At this rate, he will have to be on a liquid diet soon! It is a little gross, I have to say. Even Piper doesn't want to play tug as much with his toys because he must have some wiggly teeth in there that feel weird! I felt like a proud mother when he lost the first one. I guess that makes me a crazy dog lady...but that's ok! :o)

Ughhh...It has appeared.

Ok, so Piper is doing SO great these days. We just can't get enough of our little furball! He is getting older...almost 5 months now. So, I have been curious (well, not THAT curious) to see if his lipstick would appear. He was neutered at 7 weeks, so I was hoping that he would remain a girly man forever. Well, no such luck. It has appeared. More like a lip-gloss wand, but here none the less. When said girly man, size was not exactly what I was meaning! Hopefully we won't be thinking of Clinique… Continue

Not a lost cause after all!

I just have to say that I am finally getting to SEE the reasons we got a doodle, in Piper! He is now 14 weeks, and the first month I had wondered if we had a made a mistake. But as of the last 2 weeks, something just seemed to click with him! He is actually getting along with our daughter and not using her for a chew toy, not ripping all of our clothes and overall being a wonderful amazing little guy!
