We had our intial vet visit this morning. You know the one where they check out the pup to make sure everything is ok. It was part of our health guarantee and a good idea I think. Well Fenway came with us because we had a play date after the appointment and I didn't want to have to go back to the house to get her. Anyway, I am constantly amazed by these doodles. How easily we forget how time consuming a puppy can be. I swear, I can't remember Fenway being like this. Although Dustin is one of the most mellow pups I've ever encountered, he sure does know how to get in trouble and he has a set of lungs on him that an opera singer would be envious of. I remember Fenway not liking her crate very much during the day, but she would quiet down pretty quickly. Not Dustin, he screams and screams and screams. So we're making a little progress with the playing. Fenway has learned to not be so rough and Dustin has learned to be a little more rough. He likes to baricade himself under the couch, behind the bar stools, or behind my legs and lunge at Fenway with his razor sharp teeth and big paws. It's completely hilarious because Fenway used to do this when she was a puppy and some of her bigger friends would come over to play. Well we brought the new baby boy home today and it has been very interesting to say the least. First of all let me just say that Dustin is cute as a button and fat as a manatee! He has got to be the biggest puppy ever! When we got home we took him straight to his designated potty spot while my DH went to get our baby girl. We then went to a neutral spot and let them meet. We go to pick up Dustin (our goldendoodle puppy) tomorrow after I get out of school so tonight will be Fenway's last night as an only doodle. She is a spoiled little princess and gets tons and tons of attention all of the time, but we've really been laying it on thick this week and she's been eating it up.
