Well here I go again. I had to make the hardest decision no pet owner ever wants to make. I thought was Lilly grieving when her brother Gus died unexpectedly 3 months ago. Sadly though it was more than that. She was diagnosed a couple weeks ago with an incurable brain tumor. Unfortunately she went down hill fast. My vet came to the house today and ended Lilly’s pain. Sadly my boy Gus died at the vet this past Monday. He got up that morning and seemed under the weather and wasn't interested in his breakfast. He was fine all weekend and I just thought he wasn't feeling good. I got a call at work from the dog walker saying Gus couldn't get up. I originally posted this in the Therapy group, but wanted to let everyone know how Lily's first visit went. A little background first. A couple weeks ago we got a call from the coodinator of the pet therapy program we volunteer with about a new reading program at one of our local librarys. I just had to post something to say how much I love our groomer. Gus went in for his normal grooming appointment yesterday and I really expected him to end up having to be shaved. Well she call us and said that Gus was going to be longer than normal because of some bad mats. Well to my surprise when I went to pick him up he looked like this.
