Thanks everyone for your best wishes for my dad, he seems to be OK although he is a little slower than he was and mum says that I mustn't jump on him, which is a shame because dad and I used to love a rough and tumble when he came home from work.

Christopher told mum today that he has booked a week in the New Forest for dad, mum and ME, Hurray its my favourite place in the WHOLE world, all that open space.................... can't wait!!!

Sorry for not adding to my blog for sometime, but my dad has been very, very poorly and poor mum had been rushed off her little feet.  Luckily dad is now back at home and mum says he's making good progress.  He was admitted to hospital last April (2011) with something called Guillain Barre syndrome and stayed in hospital for ages.  Mum visited everyday, I wished I could have gone as well, but someone had to stay and look after the house mum said.  Still, when she came back she took me for a…

Well, mums back seems to be a lot better and she says she is now finally ready for Christmas!!  I can't wait to see whats inside all that shiney paper under the tree, still not too sure why there is a tree in our sitting room, perhaps mums back has affected her mind as welll!!  Trees are for outside in the garden or the park.

The fridge is full with goodies and smells are wonderful throughout the house.

Mum still has a bad back which means dad had to help mum a lot.  He's done the shopping, the housework and even taken me for lots of walks. 

When dad comes back with lots of bags, its exciting to see whats in them, although he tells me off for being nosey, some of the things smell really yummy!!  I don't understand why when the bags are unpacked, dad then wraps the contents up in some shiney paper,its great fun with dad chasing me around trying to get the sticky roll back! Well, we had lots of the white stuff and you were all right, zoomies are great fun!!! My mum thought I was really funny chasing round and round and rolling about, she said I looked like a snow dog and it was a good job I'm black otherwise she wouldn't have been able to see me!! I had a bit of an unsettling night last night, there were some foxes roaming around MY garden. I was in and out of the dog door quite a few times trying to chase them away, mum was getting quite upset with me as she was quite tired apparantely. I've had a very busy few days. Christopher has been home and we've been to all sorts of places, I think I'm a little bit tired. Well, maybe just 1/2 hour dog nap!

Dad was home today and he had to put a new pump in the pond in the garden, it was great fun helping him clear the pond weed out, the exercise does him good, so I make sure that he chases me round the garden trying to get the pond weed from me ...... Today I helped mum with the hoovering. Its great fun chasing the hose around whilst mum is sucking up the dust. Mum says it gives her arms a great workout as she has to keep moving it out of my way, don't know why as I just love jumping at it and trying to get it to go faster ! We also changed the sheets on mums bed, hide and seek is a great game, mum tries to put the clean sheets on the bed whilst I jump from one side to the other and then from the bottom I can get up and under! I knew I'd have a lovely time with Christopher ... I was out nearly all day. We had a great game of football, he does need to brush up on his defending, its too easy to get the ball off of him. Had a lovely day yesterday with my dad. I thought he was going to be doing is "mending the house stuff" all day, but............... he took me to the woods. We had a great time, chasing the squirrels (well I did, dad just watched) running in and out of the streams, and we ended up at the lake so I could have a splash about. Such heaven. Feeling a bit sorry for myself today. Had a visit to the vets. Mum tricked me this morning, we had our usual walk and came home for breakfast. Mum then put her coat back on and picked up my lead. Hello my new friends, had a lovely Saturday morning, mum got up early and said we were going to the beach!! Yippee,I love the beach. On the way we stopped at the park and I played ball with my friend Poppy,shes a Springer, but I can run alot faster. After my game we then went to the beach, what a lovely morning, we walked for miles and I ran in and out of the water. Well,its absolutely pouring here today and the wind is whipping round the house. At least it might keep those blessed fireworks from being let off. My mum says she hates it when it rains as she has to put on so much wet weather clothes. Not sure why, she'd dry off when we got back !! It never worries me. When oh when will the fireworks be over, my mum says everything will be alright, but they really hurt my ears and all that whizzing and whooshing frightens the life out of me.
