Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Our "gotchya" day year doodleversary was about a week and a half ago and as I sit here with Ollie boy cuddled up on my lap, I think back to our first week together.
This dog drove me crazy. Did I love him? Yes. Was he adorable? Yes, but it was not an easy start. A year ago I had just moved 20 hours from my family and started my first grown up job in a position that was "difficult" (to say the least) and I was extremely lonely. It's crazy that it has been a year...what a huge year it was. It wasn't long after I got him that he became my best friend, he walked with me through one of the hardest years I have had yet and helped me to learn to appreciate each and every day.
Now I will be the first to say that my pup isn't perfect...but you know what? I don't even want him to be. He is quirky, a scaredy dood, he is rambunctious and is bigger than he realizes. But he hugs me, he misses me when I'm away, he cuddles up with me, he gives me kisses when I cry, he makes me laugh every day (every hour), he is a huge goofball, he loves life, he encourages me to get outside and be in nature, and I couldn't ask for a better dog.
All this to say "Happy Doodleversery Ollie! Life is better with you by my side buddy!"

Happy Gotcha day! Im so glad you have had ollie with you this past year to offer you "support"
Thanks everyone. I am constantly thinking what a perfect pup I have been blessed with (perfect for me that is) love this guy. Doodles are something special that's for sure.
Congratulations to both of you. Obviously, you were meant to be together!
OMD Ollie you are the cutest little thing ever! So happy for you Rachel. Sounds like you found a match made in heaven!
I forgot to mention in my last comment how absolutely adorable he is:)
What a sweet story Rachel and it sounds like Ollie was the perfect fit for you! They truly are the greatest dogs ever and have such an insight to our feelings. Our Libby surprises us every day with her love and affection for us and also her sometimes little "naughty" moments, but that's what makes us so happy to have her:) Congrats on yours and Ollie's first year!
Love this pic of Ollie! Thanks for sharing how much he means to you. You've done a great job with him and you should be proud (of each other!).
