A true Hero

[Anna and Achilles]

I hope everyone could say a prayer for our veterans. My father a world war two Vet. died Sunday May 18th. He was a two time bronze medal earning for bravery in action. He was my every day hero. A great father, grand father and great grand father. I will miss him dearly. I have no idea what to do with my time now. I was caring for him with my siblings 24/7 for some time now.

Thank you all for your kind words, I know it will take a great deal of time. I am lucky to have great siblings, a wonderful husband and three great sons. Let's not forget Achilles who is on duty for snuggle therapy.

Grief is bitter, and I am so sorry for the sadness you feel. Your dad was your hero And ours. He had good reason to be proud of his service! I am sure your love gave him great comfort.

As hard as it might be, perhaps you could look for a Veterans' Hospital where your compassion might be immensely welcomed! So many elderly American heroes are alone, and your time would bring them such joy. This would be a wonderful way to honor your dad and fill the void left with his passing.
