Another Shelby Blog.... it's been too long!

Hi Doods.... Shelby here! It has been so long since I blogged, that I finally convinced my mom to leave the laptop booted up so I could update you all on what I have been up to! This past weekend was AWESOME! On Saturday morning we went to the dog park (our normal routine) and we stayed for 3 hours. I got to play with my friends Knox, Malu, Tucker, Cosmo, Captain and Guinness! It was a great time. I got hosed down before getting in the SUV - by the way, I now can jump in the tailgate on my own - mom doesn't have to lift me any more! After mom and I had a bite to eat... we went to an event called Weinerfest. There were lots of dogs - lot's of weinerdogs. They are cute.... but so short and long! They raced to see who was the fastest weiner dog. Mom and I watched, I met lots of dogs and we got to shop too! I had a good time, but boy was I tired when I got home. Then Sunday.... mom suprised me and we went to the dog park AGAIN! I could barely contain myself... I was so excited.... and Tucker was there too!

The past two months I have been going to play care twice a week and it is so much fun! I love going to play care.... I have met so many new dogs! I mentioned my friend Tucker earlier... he is a miniature labradoodle who we met at the dog park. After our humans talked a bit - we found he was new to our town and we live only 5 houses apart - how cool is that.... there is another doodle on my block. We have had playdates and everything!

After my last post about Doodle decorating going too far, I have taken a break from decorating around the house. Not only did my mom not like what I did with the bathroom rug, she got rid of the rug all together! I don't really sleep in the bathroom any more, now I sleep on the dog bed right by my mom's bed. This way - I can keep my eye on her if she gets up! She is really nice and gives me a treat every night when we go to bed! Since I haven't been decorating.... I've taken up a bit of counter surfing! Mom doesn't seem happy with that.... so now I am just trying to keep myself entertained by stealing/shredding toilet paper. One night I got it and shredded the whole roll without my mom waking up - she keeps referring to it as the "toilet paper massacre" - what ever that means. She now keeps in even further out of reach - I haven't figured out how to get it, but I will.... I had a dream about it the other night and may have to try out a new plan that came to me in my dream real soon!

Well doods, I am pooped - I went to day care today and it is getting close to mom's bedtime, so we have to play and snuggle a bit first! Hope you liked my blog.... sorry it has been so long!

Shelby, Shelby, Shelby, I LOVE and ADORE the squeakies. I must dig them out and set them free. It is just an obsession or addiction or something like that my mom says. She hopes I will 'outgrow' it but I don't think so. I just love them to death.....

Clancy.... I am so sorry - I should have know that shredding TP was too "simple" for you! I have never de-stuffed a toy? Why would you want to take the squeaker out.... doesn't that ruint he fun?

Shelby you are a naughty TX outlaw doodle with that toilet paper!! We got to go to OHIO for a romp last weekend and then another playdate on Sunday!! Woo hoo! Goodtimes!! All that playin' made us way too tired to cause any trouble. However, come Monday, Bandit decided to draw mommy a picture on the carpet with a pen he found. But mommy erased it so daddy wouldn't see. She said it had to be a doodle secret! Hee Hee!!!

Shelby, That is NED shredding TP. I would never do that! I de-squeak and de-stuff all fluffy toys. We each have our specialties. Our brother Gordie is boring, he doesn't get into anything, even the trash. Clancy

Shelby, you sure do lots of fun things where you are, I wish my Mom would have all these great things planned for me. I guess I will just have to be happy playing with my brother Renny, but he is old, and sometimes he doesn't want to play, but I annoy him till he does,,,Mommy plays with me a lot too, and we do go to Doodle romps, but you have a lot more fun then me thats for sure. Of course Daddy is good for belly rubs and hugs at night too. I used to play with toliet paper too, but my Mom has it hidden now and she closes all the bathroom doors and the bedroom doors, except at night, I sleep in Mom & Dads room, in my crate. Mom says I don't need the crate, but I love it, it is my "place" so thts where I go when Mom says it is bedtime...Glad that you could get on the puter to let us know what is happening in your world...Your friend here in Florida, Oliver

Clancy - I love how you added a picture of your toilet paper shredding skills.... I wonder if my mom can post one when she gets home from work! I think she has taken photos..... if not, I will be sure to do it again so she can get a photo or two! Isn't it funny how humans get upset with us.... but then they have to stop and take a photo! Those humans are so confusing.... :o)

Good to hear the update Shelby. These humans are kind of ridiculous aren't they? They aren't impressed by decorating, rearranging, gardening or cleaning. Then, when we shred toilet paper as a last resort, they hate that too. Impossible to please... psh!

Yea, a "Shelby blog"! Hi Doodle buddy, I'm so happy that you blogged this morning. Things are boring at my house, so I really liked hearing all about your exciting life. You've got it made Pal...play dates, trips to the dog park, and the Weinerfest. Those long dogs you talk about sound like "hot dogs"....I LOVE hot dogs, but Mom only lets me have them when I'm doing really hard training, and then I only get little pieces. Someday I'd really like to "steal" a WHOLE HOT DOG! How sweet would that be? "Counter surfing" sounds like so much fun...if only I was a little taller. I'm soooo jealous that you get to shred the TP...my Mom keeps that stuff way up high...bummer. I'm going to try to dream about it too so I can also "come up with a plan".
