Hi Doods,

Some of you may remember my blog post about a month ago about my doodle decorating efforts in the master bathroom. If you haven't seen it.... here is the link: http://www.doodlekisses.com/profiles/blogs/shelby-doodle-exploring-... I had gotten such great feedback from you all including an offer from Murphy (of Guinness and Murphy) to go into business together.... that I decided to refine my skills and try some new techniques.

Well.... one night while mom was sleeping - I was awake... not tired at all. I woke mom up so I could go potty - it was about 2:30am. When I came inside... I tried to engage mom in play and gave her my best play bow, but she didn't want to play - said she had to go to work in the morning and that I, Shelby Doodle, should go to bed. I tried to lay back down and sleep, but I just wasn't tired. I could tell that mom was sleeping so I figured it was a good time to do some decorating!

Rather than just toss the bathmats around, I decided to alter one of them. I liked the look, rustic, lived in and a splash of color throughout the bathroom. When mom woke up, she didn't seem very appreciative of the new look. Doods... please look at the picture below... don't you think it looks good?

In other news.... Yesterday (Friday) - mom woke up and immediately fed me - I thought WTD ~ Aren't we going to go for a walk first? It was clear mom was confused, she must not have gotten enough sleep. Then out of nowhere she asks me "want to go for a ride" and I thought.... well duh, of course I want to go for a ride. Then we went to the place mom calls the Doggie Hotel. But I wasn't there for grooming, to buy food/treats or to stay the night. Doods... I was there for doggie play care! Who knew there was such a thing. Mom said we had to get there first so I could greet each dog as they arrive - I am so happy they knew I was social and should be the greeter, I take my job very seriously. The next thing I knew - there were 22 of us and we got to play.... all day, both outside and in the air conditioning (it was almost 100 degrees yesterday). Mom came and picked me up 10 hours later. When we got home, I pottied, ate and then went to SLEEP. If you don't know about doggie play care ask you humans about it - it was amazing! I heard her talking when were were leaving - it sounds like I get to go next week too!

This morning we went to the dog park and I got to play with my friends Knox and Macy. Doods... my friend Knox is still afraid to swim, he likes to lounge in the water, but won't take the plunge (haha... I am a funny doodle). I try to show him how to do it... I know he can, I am hoping some day we can swim together.

Ok... I need to sign off now, I am pretty pooped - so it's time for a nap. I hope all you doodles have a great weekend.

Peace, Love and Doodle Kisses,

Shelby

I ate mom's oriental rug last week (trying to make it homier) and she got so mad. What's a dood to do?

Shelby, I really enjoy your blogs. It sounds like you've been really busy and having so much fun!
I have to say, I do think you've gone a bit too far with your latest decorating effort...it is truly cutting edge design, but perhaps a little too avant garde for mere humans like me and your mom. And of course, if you tear up the rugs, they get thrown away and then you have one less item to rearrange.

Shelby, your awesome doodle decorating efforts look almost similar to mine! I'll see if I can my mom to post the pictures, and of the whole I ate in the carpet, though something tells me she wasn't very thrilled by that one.

I gotta go...I think she's going to brush me, so I need to hide under the bed.

You go Shelby Doodle! You are an awesome decorator! Anything you wanna go to Play Care, you just do a little decorating and I bet Mom makes an appointment the same day! Have Fun!

Shelby have you been talking to Quincy, he used to do that to my mats too. Doggie playcare sounds like so much fun, I'm guessing your mom thinks that if you're too tired you won't do any more decorating.

Shelby, not only are you cute and really smart, but you have a real flair for decorating. I love what you've done with your bathroom. It was looking pretty awesome the last time you redecorated, but this look is perfect! It looks like fun too. I'm a little too much of a "chicken" to actually shred the bathmats, but it's a GREAT idea. It gets rid of them once and for all. Murph and I still move them around, but Mom always puts them back, and we have to start all over again. I love your spunk, Shelby. I would still like to go into business with you, but your skills are now well ahead of mine. I'm willing to be your apprentice.....I have no problems working for a woman. After all, our Mom is a woman, and she's okay. Isn't Day Camp the best! We love it too, and Mom says we're going to go there on Monday. YES! Thanks for this great update....we love hearing about what you're up to. Guinness and Murphy....XXXOOO
