Another Update on Darwin

Well, we are still living out in the country, preparing to move. Darwin is loving all of the extra people and space of course, and I think he's going to be sad when we leave. The funny thing about it is that there is so much space and places for him to run free but we never let him because he gets so filthy. Not to mention matted and covered in burrs. His coat is just terrible for this type of environment... like velcro. 

So, now that spring has come I decided to get him shaved really short so he could run, swim and explore to his hearts content. (also I was getting sick of his wet stinky beard LOL) The haircut is about 1/4" and I asked for 1/2" to 3/4", but I don't even mind. It will take longer to grow out this way, and he seems to be loving it. He's been very frisky... LOL

Here is the most recent photo I could find of him before the haircut. It was taken 3 or 4 days ago during my SIL's b-day. 

Here are some photos I snapped of him yesterday. It was a shock for all of the in-laws when they saw him, they didn't recognize him. There is now proof for everyone who doesn't believe me: He isn't chubby!

OMD Darwin!!!   You look so wonderful in your new "suit"!   And your mom has taken the most beautiful photos of you!   Camilla, isn't it fun to go so totally different?  It's like getting a new dog...but still having the old dog!  The best of both worlds!

That's an amazing difference! I'll bet he feels great inside and out! I love how Tara feels when she gets a short trim-like velvet! His little face is adorable!!

Still--Still so handsome, Camilla.  I have a short one myself this week.  It does not take long to get used to because the same ol' personality is there.

I have some bad news for you though. My white clean dog--well he is a filthy mess even with short hair.  You just can't keep a good dog down.  And now, I have Sweetie staying with us.  Another white dog.  Whose idea was it to convince me that white dogs are cute.  They are, but oh are they dirty.  Many days, I miss my chocolate lab. If dirt is out of sight, it is out of mind.
