Attention Grabber

[Angie, Hudson and Lily]

What funny things do your doodles do to demand your attention? Hudson never gets into anything. We are very lucky because even as a puppy he rarely got into anything. He does, however, take items of interest (usually pens/pencils) and will sit close by with it hanging out of his mouth. He usually just sits like a statue by the sofa and stares in your direction, trying to get you to look at him. Once in awhile he will do a walk by with the forbidden object, with a glance upwards of his eyes to catch your gaze. He never chews these items, they are used merely to demand more attention.

On this particular day, I was folding laundry near the sofa (his usual attention grabbing spot, and out of the corner of my eye I noticed him sitting across the room from me, just staring at me. What funny things do your doodles do to get your attention?

That's a seriously cute picture! Callie will drop a tennis ball out of her mouth onto the floor, over and over and over until I'll play ball with her. Sometimes I wait, just because the dropping is so cute!

Sophie comes up and sits and puts her paw up for you to hold her hand.  She just keeps doing it until you take the hand.  If you let go she gives it back to you!  With Lucy though you better be prepared because she gives you a hug when she wants some attention.  A hug means that her front paws land on your shoulders so be ready because like it or not, you are getting a hug!  (I sometimes regret the day I taught her HUG).

Clifford and Little Dood both climb up on the futon next to the computer and put their paw on my shoulder.  If that doesn't get them enough attention they move to trying to putting their paws on my head.  Sometimes Little Dood will climb into my lap and look like he's using the computer instead of me.

Cooper will cry (whine) like she does when she needs to go potty.....

[Ricki and Tara (doodle)]

Oh, that is hilarious!! What a cute picture!!!  Tara just sits and stares and growls this low deep growl that sounds like it should be coming from Cujo!! The first time she did it I was at the computer and didn't know she was right behind me. Suddenly, I hear this deep growl and I think WTD!!  I turn around to see this tiny (she is a mini) little doodle in a perfect sit position looking up at me batting her very long eye lashes. I couldn't help but crack up!!

Nemo always goes for the kitchen dish cloth hanging near the oven.  He'll walk by us with it in his mouth, and if we don't see him he'll start shaking his head and whipping the towel to and fro until we hear him.  Then he has to drop the towel and leave it (it goes into the wash) and we play with him till he's happy.
