I have been working a lot of overtime and so for the first time 2 months or so ago I took Murphy to a groomer that was recommended to me.  They did a nice job at a reasonable price. Well a week ago I took him there again and I am not happy.....when my wife picked him up they had trimmed his eyebrows short and left his top hi and puffy not natural at all.  Soooo....It will grow back and I am going to be grooming him the next time.  For now I am going to use the thinning shears and get his top shorter and more natural looking.  It did really surprise me to see my dog without the doodle look we love.

But you are right to say "this time".  It happens, and it does grow back.  Doing your own grooming is the best way to get the look you want.  Groomers are more accustomed to poodles and are rather drawn in that direction.  They just don't know "the doodle look" yet.  Best indicators that the groomer was doing a poodle/doodle cut were the long ears and the puffy "hi top".  You can fix it up a little by cutting the top down and the ears up.  Gives them a rounder look rather than the elegant tall, slender look.

we had that happen too with Oskar...can't imagine why groomers do that.

I sympathize.  Got the high, puffy thing on Trav last time we went to the groomer.  Thinning shears really help.  :)
