Today was a big day for Bailey ...I found a groomer here in town that had a great reputation for grooming large breeds. Eric-the-groomer came highly recommended so I jumped in with both feet to finally have Bailey groomed for the summer. I am pleased with the way she looks but wished he had left her face a little longer as well as the plummes(sp) on her tail. I actually brought a picture of Banjo with me so he could get an idea of what I was looking for.
Eric the groomer was very complimentary towards Bailey's behavior. He said he was suprised for her age how well behaved she was...Guess that training is paying off hehe. He also said when she walked into the shop he was thinking of all the mats she must have hiding in her coat....Guess what....Notta one!!! Yea me and DK grooming members for teaching me how to brush her properly...
Here are some before and after pics of my sweet girl without all her pretty red wavy hair...... Please ignore the ugly yard..it's a work in progress..Lot's of work and little progress : p

Bailey looks just beautiful! I too like the before and after! She must feel cool in the heat now!!!
I like her face & tail! It is amazing that you had no mats!!!! Impressive! Do you use the Les Pooch brush? Please tell your secret! Bexter's coat has started matting in the last couple of months (beginning around 10 months). I brush and comb him almost daily now! I'm hoping it will eventually get better! Anyway, did your groomer scissor cut? She doesn't look clipped to me. How long is her hair?
I love this new look!
She looks gorgeous both before and after.
Her coat is a lot like our Sophie's. I loved those long wavy curls and was very surprised at the coat underneath when I first got it cut. The long waves though were very coarse and she was so soft once she was cut. It took me two years to get up the nerve to cut them off cut I loved it once I did. I think your groomer did a breat job.
She looks very cute!
aww... so cute! I like the second picture in which Bailey peeks at this direction as if to say "Did you get the shot? Can I stand up now?"
I admire you keeping Bailey's coat mat-free especially at that age (10 months!). I was harvesting Willow's mats in dozens (had to cut them off) around that time when her coat was changing. Hats off to you!
I think Bailey looks great before and after :) Our yard looks the same courtesy of Vern, our landscaper..LOL!
