Hard to believe it's been 2 1/2 weeks since we got Bruin.  He won our hearts on the first day!  He is such a sweet puppy. Don't get me wrong, he has a little devil puppy in him too!  We have been working on the typical nipping and biting.  So far he is getting the idea that nothing tastes good with Bitter Apple sprayed on it, even yummy fingers and pant legs LOL.

Crate training is going well.  He is sleeping much better in his crate at night but does prefer to sleep in our bathroom…

UPDATE:  I called the breeder to see if "nature took it's course"..  It's a no-go ; (  And they have decided to not move forward with any more litters of goldendoodles.. 

Back to the drawing board we go!!  I am sad but I know it will happen when it's supposed too!!

I have finally convinced my DH to get a new baby brother for Bailey...  So I contacted the breeder where we got Bailey from last month.  She said she had taken a break from breeding but was planning a litter…

Tomorrow (8/2) is a big day for me, Bailey, Lori, Daphne and Lucy...  We are getting to meet the famous Rosco, Guinness and Honey doodle!  

The 3 doodles and their human parents are stopping in Mayport Naval Base FL for a few days before heading home.  So the Florida girls once again are meeting some of their DK friends... 

We are all so excited and can't wait to share…

My DH is a huge Boston Bruins fan.  We (or should I say I)  have been discussing adding another doodle to the house : )

Well, DH's Bruins were not playing all that great so when the subject came up again... his statement was..." Ok fine, if the Boston Bruins win the Stanley Cup, we will get another doodle"...

I can't believe my sweet girl is 2 today.  She has brought more joy to my life than I could have ever imagined.  By having a doodle and being a member of DK, I have met some of the nicest, most wonderful doodles and humans... I am so blessed to have you all in my life because of Bailey.  She is my heart and I love her dearly!

And...on a party note (LOL) we are having a sleepover for her birthday.  Daphne & Lucy (Lori) are staying with us while Lori and her family are out of town…

Found this park tucked away behind the playground where my son used to play as a toddler (he's 25 now).  Didn't even know it existed!  It was a beautiful day to go exploring with the doodle and the DH!  I couldn't get over what we found at the end...a beautiful bridge that lead to the Ortega River...

I love how green the ferns are right now...…

Had a new groomer recommended to me by a friend with a doodle...  I think she did a great job.  I really needed to have Bailey short for the Florida summer heat.  Other than her face being a little shorter than I would have liked, I think she looks great..I'm not worried though, it will be long again before I know it!!

I found a really pretty park for Bailey and I to walk in the mornings.  A city park with paved walk ways under beautiful shaded trees that is only about 2 miles from my house.

So off we go to explore my new find...walking up the trail and we come around the bend ..I see two shadows on the edge of the woods...I take off my sunglasses and what do we have facing us but two wild pigs...

It scared the crap out of me...Bailey was sitting and she thought she had some new friends that…

Today was a big day for Bailey ...I found a groomer here in town that had a great reputation for grooming large breeds.  Eric-the-groomer came highly recommended so I jumped in with both feet to finally have Bailey groomed for the summer.  I am pleased with the way she looks but wished he had left her face a little longer as well as the plummes(sp) on her tail.  I actually brought a picture of Banjo with me so he could get an idea of what I was looking for.

Today in Jacksonville was the annual Trail of Tails to support the Humane Society.

As we were leaving there was a man who walked towards us with a goldendoodle that looked much like Bailey.  I asked him how old he was and he said he was 9 months.  I asked him where he got him from and he mentioned a small town close by.  I always think if I see a doodle that looks like Bailey that they might be related..Any way...

The guy tells me that he has a trainer that is…

I think the picture says it all.....It is either laugh or cry with this one!!  My hubby gave me 150.00 so he wouldn't be carrying it around in his wallet while he went to play golf.  He put it on the couch while I was sitting on the floor brushing Bailey.  I got up and completely forgot about it.  Got on the phone to talk with my mom, then got on the computer to see what was going on with DK....  I glanced over and guess what I see out of the corner of my eye....part of President Grant…

Since getting Bailey back in July, I have been working really hard to find her "doodle friends".  I started a FB page for Goldendoodles and Labradoodles of NE FL, put messages on store FB boards and have even tried to contact other DK'ers from Jacksonville and Orange Park.  The only one that I have heard back from was Suzanne and her beautiful girl Lily. 

We met up at a local dog park in town and the girls had a great time playing.  Can't wait to meet with them again and…

I am so excited.  Several months ago I found out that Bailey had a sister here in town.  We even used the same vet for when the girls were spayed ..and on the same day no doubt.. Anywho...  I finally contacted her today and she is as excited as I am...we both just giggled with excitement to talk to each other.

We have a play date set for next week and we both were wondering...

Do you think they will know that they are sisters?  Will they remember each other…

Bailey had a blast at the dog park today!  She usually goes into the water up to her belly...but not today.  She was not about to let a ball get away...So proud of my baby girl!!!
