Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Judy and I picked up Chloe from Katie at the Hesperia, California (High Desert above San Bernardino) Shelter today. Katie, who works at the shelter, had brought Chloe home after she was dumped at the shelter with her undernourished siblings who unfortunately did not survive. Anyway, Katie nursed Chloe and our new foster weighs 8.2 pounds at 10 weeks. She needs to put on some weight but, we will take care of that.
We switched her name to Zoe since it became confusing because I have recently picked up another rescue doodle from the same shelter whose name is also Chloe.
Zoe is a darling and beautiful doodle who is almost white with beautiful brown eyes and a lovely big nose.
She is very mellow and slept the whole two hour trip from Hesperia to Escondido. Zoe is extremely affectionate and loves to give kisses. She also loves to run around the yard. We have introduced her to Holly who just loves puppies. The Maltese kind of ignore her and Sophie doesn't seem to realize that she is around.
We will keep posting as this darling girl grows.

As of right now, Zoe can use the harness that we have for the larger Maltese but, I expect she will soon grow out of that size. Today, I am going to get a larger size harness which she will be able to use as she grows.. They have a wonderful buy in harnesses and accessories at Big Lots (of all places) and I purchased a dual rig to walk Holly and Sophie together which is really well built. It only cost two dollars! They had wonderful harnesses available also for two bucks but, only in medium size. I didn't get any since Sophie needs a large size and Holly could use an extra large; while my Maltese need small or extra small. We didn't have Zoe with us when I looked at the harnesses. Since the Big Lots medium harnesses only cost two bucks, I am going to get several (hopefully, there will be some left in stock) so we can let Zoe go to her new home with a harness and still have a harness or two for any new doodle rescue puppies we might get in the future. They also had nice big dog collars at Big Lots. I got Holly and Sophie matching collars and the girls look beautiful wearing them.
BTW: Zoe did wonderfully on her first night with us. She was a perfect lacd. Not a peep out of her and her crate was dry in the morning. Today, I begin to teach her to sit for treats. Holly learned to do that on the second day she way with us and Holly was only 7-weeks old. I don't like a big dog jumping on me for treats. What may seem cute for an 8-pound puppy is darned annoying for a 40-60 pound adult dog.
Totally a doll and we love the purple harness!!!!
