Can Someone Please Tell Me... WHY????

As I sit here (in the later part of morning) at my kitchen table, drinking coffee with my lap top in front of me, I look around - only to see.... a floor that needs vacuuming, furniture that needs dusting, a counter FULL of mail that needs to be sifted through, and smudge on my windows and doors that need to be windexed clean.  (and a 18th birthday and graduation party in 2 weeks for my son to plan and clean for)  So WHY then do I sit here searching through forum posts, blogs, and my DK e-mail when there is SO much to do?   Some (non doodle people) would say I'm obsessed and have no self control.  Maybe..... but, What do YOU think?

SUE ~ LOL.. I used to think that was the case when my son wouldn't take his eyes off the TV screen when he watched Barney!  (DH joked - as he does w/ DK - that some strange force from 'out there' is pulling us in - lol)

Yup, I am right there with ya on this one. Pretty pathetic some days when I act like I have absolutely nothing else to do except be on DK. I think there are subliminal messages coming through the internet, brainwashing us to stay on DK for hours and hours. Yup, that's my story and I'm sticking with it. Now, I think I will go clean up from breakfast, do some laundry and go get ready for Dr appt. so I can hurry and get back to what's important in life...DK!!!

You are doing the only sensible thing.  If you start cleaning now, you'll just have to do it all over again later.  Start cleaning late on the morning of the party, then if you run out of time or find other things that have to be done--well, you did your best.  Anyhow, remember that you'll have to clean up AFTER the party, so it's really a waste of time to clean at all BEFORE the festivities.
