Clifford's great adventure! UPDATE

Hey friends, Clifford here, and my mom just told me we are going on an adventure tomorrow! We are going to meet up with some other doodles in Ohio at a huge dog park. I'm really excited and a little nervous...I've never been swimming before and I saw pictures of them doing daredevil jumps off a dock. I hope they don't laugh at me.

I'll let you know how much fun it is when I get back tomorrow.

UPDATE:

WOW! I had the best time of my life so far!!! I met Spud, Starlit, Sheba, Duke, Ralph, Rosey and Bandit - it was the most awesomest thing to be able to play with other doodles...we just "get it" and know how to play together. The big lake was even fun, although the bottom felt a little funny between my toes and I didn't swim - I walked out to my belly though and even retrieved a tennis ball! We got to explore wherever we wanted and lots of people kept coming up to pet us. Spud is quite a madman with a tennis ball, I could learn a lot from him. Sheba and Duke are great frisbee catchers/retrievers...they even got one my mom threw and you should see her throw (so embarrassing). Rosey was really brave and even put her head under the water - maybe she can teach me how to do that someday. Bandit is pretty funny - he rolls in the sand like he is making sand angels and then bounces off to do something else...little kids can be goofy sometimes! It was neat how his mommy can carry him though, kind of wish I was a little kid too. Starlit was shy so I hope I get to meet her again so we can become better friends. Then there was Ralph, I knew Ralph's sister - my foster sister Mocha (Latte). Ralph was pretty calm...probably cuz he was on a leash so he didn't wander off, you know how foster dogs can be! He didn't seem to mind because he gots lots of pets from people walking by. There were other doodles too - some that kind of looked like me - and they joined in the fun so we could show the other dogs what real doodle play is all about.

I slept on the way home and dreamt about the fun things we got to do....sure wish we lived closer so we could do this every week!

To all my new friends: thanks for inviting me and I can't wait to meet up with you soon!

To Guinness: I hope we can play in the water sometime too and I'm really glad your brother is going to be alright. If you need to take a break from nursing him back to health just give me a call and we'll meet in the middle.

We had a great time and it was great to see everyone. Don't feel bad about the frisbee Suzann. It wasn't the first and it won't be the last! (Maybe one of these days we'll get the photos posted!!! )

Hey doods!! We had A BLAST yesterday!! Rosey is a little jealous of Spud's jumpin and catchin' balls and Sheba and Duke's frisbee retrievin'. We're still sorry we lost Sheba and Duke's blue frisbee, Rosey tried real hard lookin' underwater for it, when you come to MI we will let you lose one of our toys:):) And Cliffy you were sooo brave gettin in the water up to your belly, Rosey's says you will be going under water real soon!! If not, you can just make sand angels with Bandy!! Can't wait until the next Romp!!

Clifford, Dood! It was so much fun. I slept 12+ hours and am just waking up. Starlit and Spud had to sleep in the kitchen because there was no way I was giving a bath last night. The kitchen floor is caked in sand. Egh. But well worth all the fun. I see our new friends we met at the beach, Kozar and Bernie signed on to DK. We really represented ourselves good enough to have others come and join us.
It was so nice to meet you all! Even though I was feeling really bad with my cold, doodles just have a way to make me all better. See you all next Spring

Hey Clifford, I've been waiting to hear all about the Doodle party yesterday. I wish I was there...what a blast! So Spud's pretty good with the tennis ball, and Sheba and Duke "rule" at frisbee catching. Wow, I would love to have seen that! Rosey put her head in the water....Holly Doodle she's brave! That's funny that Bandit's Mom can carry him around...my Mom can carry Guinness too. I'd hate that....I like being "free" better. So, it sounds like a perfect day. I'm really happy you had such a good time! My Mom did take me to "Nose" class yesterday while DD watched over Murph. It was fun, and I got lots of treats for "finding the right smell"....can you even believe Mom gives me treats for THAT? Thanks for sharing the news with us....I'm going to take a nap now and dream about Doodle Romps. Guinness

Hi, Clifford....Guinness here. Wow, are you a lucky Doodle! This sounds like a gigantic play date...with Doodles! I wish I could be there to play too. I like swimming a little, but I don't go "over my head". Splashing around sure is fun though. Mom said she's going to take me out later to do something fun while my Dad stays home to take care of Murph...he's really sick and getting all the attention. Have fun buddy, and say hi to all the other Doodles!
