Darwin And Duck Don't Mix!

We decided to change things up and by the Duck and Oatmeal formula of the brand we buy. Just to keep things interesting for Darwin. He's done well on every other formula we've tried, so we weren't worried. Well, for the past week or so he's had horrible gas, bad diarrhea, and nasty breath. We haven't switched treats at all so I can only guess it's his food. Poor Darwin is kind of miserable and I'm sick of the gas (actually EVERYONE is sick of the gas), so we decided not to use the rest of the bag and go get his usual lamb and rice. At least we know what to avoid from now on!

It's the first time a food hasn't worked for Darwin and I have a new understanding of all those people who have had to throw out food for one reason or another. Such a waste... oh well!

I know....that gas can clear a room. I alternate different "flavors" of Acana for Murph, and most of the time he does fine. Once in a while he'll have gas, and it brings tears to my eyes.

Our local shelter takes open bags of food. We took many a bag to them when we were working out Tara's diet! It might be worth looking into. As for the duck...just consider it another learning experience. Now you know what NOT to feed him!! LOL!

Hey Darwin, maybe your mom can donate your food? My mom is going to look into it as we have a bunch of open Innova that is perfectly fine for some dogs , just not us:)
