Doodle Days

Im sitting on my bed, after a tiring day at work, and my Goldendoodle Welly is snuggled up on my bed too. I never allowed dog's on my bed.... until I got Welly. We've been out on the beach in the dark with our newest toy - a glow in the dark bally. I never used to walk on the beach in the dark.... until I got Welly.

Im wondering if soon we'll win the lottery and I can become a full-time doodle mum. We'll buy a camper van and go on a tour of the UK, just me and my Welly.

Welly & I walked for miles at the weekend, met some doodles out and about on the beach, partook of the local pub quiz (but didn't win), practiced our dancing and tricks, sat sipping coffee in a dog friendly cafe, watched the surfers playing in the chilly waves of Wittering.

Every day spent with a doodle is fun. Just 4 more days until next weeknd and we'll do it all again!

That was a sweet poem to your loveable doodle Welly. I feel the same way, I let Bear do things and go places with him that I never did with our past dog. I feel bad about that, but at the same time I think doodles are just more personable than my pomerian mix was. I'm completly smitten with my dog.

My friend has place in France, and takes her Labradoodle there every summer. They have resteraunts where they can take their dog, and all the cafe's let Lula in.

We are lucky to have so many dog friendly pubs, and the local cafe too. It's up to the owners of the establishement, and not a health and safety or hygeine law (though many assume it is a law).

I hope that we will see many more pet friendly places to eat & drink. I swear Welly is far better behaved than most kids I encounter in these places :)

I lived in the UK for 2 years, many years ago. I can remember the 1st night I was there some people from work took me to the local pub for dinner. Sitting there talking and all of a sudden a cat jumped up on the chair beside me, being the stupid American I am I was startled that a cat was in the restaurant. My friends said not to worry, the cat lives here. I was like "OH". Then not to long after I was in another pub and here comes a dog ...... I just didn't understand (against the health code here in the US). Needless to say, what I wouldn't give to have a local pub to go where I could take my girls to dinner with me now! You can't even sit with them on the cafe patios here around where we live.! So from now on, every time you take your Welly to the pub think about us over here just wishing our doods could go to the pub!

I count my days till the weekend too Lesley, along with plans after winning the Lottery :) Wish we had a beach closer, you are lucky!
