"Sable, Sable, under the table." That is what my daughters say! Sable does in fact like to snooze under the table by our feet, or under an empty chair. I love it! Today Sable came to our local elementary school with me when I had to put on my "soccer mom" hat and hand in my game schedule to the principal. Teachers and students alike ooohed and ahhhed, and fawned over my sweet Sable baby, naturally!

Yes folks, I am a real live "Soccer Mom", once thought to be going extinct...Now, appearing to be on the rise in rural and suburban communities across America! I am coaching 4th, 5th & 6th grade co-ed soccer for our local elementary school. (K-6 is in one building, very small school) My oldest daughter plays, hope I can be objective.....

Anyway, Sable of course will be our mascot, and she will attend all practices and games, although I plan to bring along a kennel/crate (I have two for her, one that is bigger, stays in our bedroom, and one in the living room, a bit smaller, that I can more easily pop in the car)

Toby & Cody played with her again today, it was great.

There was another first I almost forgot, Sable barked at someone! They were leaving our house, exiting through the garage door, (Sable was on the front porch with me), and when they shut the door, she started barking, it was so funny, to hear that little bark, I looooooooooooove it! But please don't quote me on that!

It's so cute the first time they figure out that they can bark. Sounds like you are all having lots of fun with your new puppy.

(Toby & Cody are my dogs, she is not in contact with any other dog) Good point about the table....I just like hearing the kids say it I think..

Nancy,
Just be careful - Sable hasn't had all her shots yet and is susceptible to thinkgs she can pick up at the field from other dogs even if she is not in physical contact with them. She might be better off at home for a few more weeks. Just from 1 Mom to another!!

Be careful what you wish for - if you do not want Sable under the table when she is older, don't let her do it now. Like a child, give them an inch and they cut your arm off!! LOL

Love the pictures - she really is just gorgeous!!!
