Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I always say that I find doodles to be so humanlike. Well, here is another reason why I say that. Seamus (my almost 2 year old doodle) has recently developed the habit of sulking when he is angry at us...particularly if we won't let him romp outside. Our dining room was built off of our kitchen and is two steps down from the kitchen. We also have a backyard exit from the dining room. So... typically our night goes like this.....just as we settle down for dinner in the kitchen, Seamus decides to bark at us because he wants to play outside. We ignore him and he proceeds to sulk by standing down in the dining room and resting his head (quite pathetically) down on the double step that leads up to the kitchen. He then goes into his "pissed off spot." We named it this because it is under the dining room table where we can see him and he can see us.....he squeezes his huge body under the table and chair and lays, head flat down, staring at us and crying every few minutes. Well anyway.....our little doodle (Stella) is apparently quite observant because she has now adopted Seamus' sulking behavior. A few nights ago while Seamus was in his "pissed off spot," Stella assumed his "pathetic head resting on top of step" position because she, too, wanted to go play outside during dinner. Doodle see doodle do!! Maybe next week she will have her very own "pissed off spot" as well!
The pics below are both of Seamus in his sulking pose...before he heads under the dining room table. lol. I couldn't get a picture of Stella....she still moves too fast =P
