Doodles Can Be Very Contagious

In December of 2010, my SIL met Cubbie and it was love at first sight.  They already had 1 dog (a female black lab) but she told my brother that she had to have a doodle too.  He just laughed at her but I don’t think he realized just how contagious doodles can be.  They got married in September 2011 and they decided that they were going to wait a year before the considered getting another dog, but again they didn’t realize how contagious doodles can be.  As of February 20, 2012 they have both officially been infected with the doodle bug and welcomed home a 3 month old little black Australian labradoodle male puppy named Tuxedo (unless they decide to change his name).  He is just adorable (of course not as cute as his “cousins” Cubbie and Ollie, but cute just the same!!).  They live in Seattle and I live near Chicago so it is driving me crazy that there is a new doodle in the family that I can’t easily visit.  Now I just need to get her to join DK so she can spend some time talking to a great group of people who have also all been severely infected with that same doodle bug!!

BTW - You are sooo right about doodles being contagious!  I am probably going to be getting a golden retriever this spring, but I'm afraid I will still want another doodle.  My husband would probably ask for a divorce if I wanted THREE dogs.  It is called doodleholism and yes I am a doodleholic and proud of it!  I really do think it is a disease/I wish I could get it covered by medical insurance!

Jen, I think my brother would put his foot down on a 2nd doodle (or 3rd dog), but I am still surprised that she convinced him to get Tux so I could get surprised again.  :)  If there was a 2nd doodle, I would just have to pick up and move out there though!
