Friday:
Hey,
What is Spring Break? Did you know that my Mom came to school on Friday? My Mom left me in the van. She took your pad and my blanket. I was very concerned, but she told me that it was Spring Break and we really needed to wash them. I’m still confused about Spring break. Charlie
Saturday:
Chrissy had piano. I think that’s the thing she bangs on every night. What a boring day. My family left me at home in my crate. Is this how Spring Break is going to be? They went to Winchester and I heard my Dad got a drum set. Charlie
Sunday:
You would think that they would stay home and be with me. But no! They went antiquing in Hagerstown and left me at home. Later I heard my mom talk to my Dad about going to see my Aunt Beth. Something about a “road trip”. I don’t think this is my idea of a good time. Charlie
Monday:
We stayed home all day and it was so cool. I played with my sisters, Tess and Sadie. My brother Mosby just lay around. He really needs to find something to do. But he is a Great Pyrenees. What can you expect? Charlie
Tuesday:
I’m not too sure what’s happening. My Mom is really excited. She is getting these strange things out and my human sisters are putting their clothes in them. I wonder what is up. I need to do something! Charlie
Wednesday:
My Mom is leaving me! I don’t think that is fair. My Dad said I would be just fine, but I don’t think so. Is this how Spring Break should be for me? I want my Mom to be with me. Ok. I will have my mom take me with her.
I got to go with my Mom but not in the way you think. I went as Flat Charlie. Take a look at my pictures. It was a great day.
Not so great at home though. Dad had to go to work and then he let me out after he got home. He doesn’t cuddle as well as Mom. Charlie
Thursday:
I went to the pool with my human sisters today at a motel in Springfield, Ohio. My mom is the best!
Flat Charlie.
Meanwhile I’m bored at home. Dad had to go to work and Sadie, Tess, and me had to be in our crates all day until he got home. Why does Mosby get to stay out? Dad did get home early, thank goodness. I enjoyed the warm weather even though I panted a bit when I was running around because it’s warm. When is Mom getting home? I miss her. Charlie
Friday:
I got to see my Aunt Beth. They took my shopping and I got to spend the day hanging out with them. They even took me to the antique store. Lots of really old things there, even my Aunt Beth because it was her Birthday. Flat Charlie
Dad said that Mom should be home tomorrow. He didn’t go in to work but he was gone for awhile in the afternoon. Guess what? There I was in my crate again. I just really love this Spring Break stuff, whatever it is. Charlie
Saturday:
Oh, my Mom was sad. We said good bye to my Aunt Beth and headed back to Virginia. Even though it was a long drive, it was so nice to get home and into my own bed. Flat Charlie
She’s home! She’s home! Now I get to be next to the best cuddler in all the world, my Mom. I love her so. Charlie
Sunday:
Now that I’m back in Virginia, I can go to my special resting place until my next trip. I’ll miss talking to you. Flat Charlie
It was sure a great day. We really stayed home all day. I was so glad that my Mom was here. She gave me a bath this afternoon so I could be ready for school tomorrow. I love school. I hope we don’t have Spring Break for a long time. I really missed my Mom and my friends at Emerick. Maybe someone can explain Spring Break to me. Charlie
