Gavin and Mylie: Day Seven (the final chapter)

Well as our week together comes to a close, I though I would share one last story about the adventures of Mylie and Gavin. I learned this week that two dogs are twice the work, twice the expense and 10 times the laughs! Still not ready for a second one, but it was a positive experience (save and except Mylie’s frequent “vocalizations”).

Early this morning Gavin woke me with a nose poke. This rare occurrence usually means that an emergency potty break is required. I give him a little scratch on the head to see if I could buy 15 more minutes of sleep. Nope, Gavin continued to stare at me. So up I got. When I rounded the end of the bed I laughed right out loud. Timmy (Mylie) sent Lassie (Gavin) to get help due to be stuck in the well (a blanket). Mylie looked like a chocolate ghost all wrapped up in a throw that had slide off the foot of our bed. Below is a re-enactment. Like I said, 10 times the laughs.

Sounds like you and the furkids had a Wonderful weekend...and you not only survived...but learned a few things in the process.

Yep I Agree with you only we have 100x's the laughs with R&B. They are soooo attached to each other. Looks like Gavin had fun as did Mylie and I am sure her m&d appreciate a break without the worry. I also love to hear the poke poke, Rosey does the same thing whereas Bandit is all about bangin the potty bells!!

You are so right! I keep thinking I want a second doodle, but fostering and doodle-sitting for friends is a great cure for that! You get to have to, get double the attention when you take them out, enjoy the fun, and then pass them on (or back to) a loving home. I think our dogs enjoy both the company and when it's over! Yours sounded like a pretty crazy week - and fun!
