I belong to a family comprised of "die hard" Red Sox fans.  This time of year is very stressful for many of my family members.....especially my DH and DS.  I know nothing about major league baseball, but the Sox seem to have a way of playing with the emotional well-being of my family every year at this time.  We took the boys out for a little B-Ball practice today.....we want to be ready in case they're "called up" to bail out the Sox.  Muprh is a pretty darn good athlete..and he knows it.  Guinness.,..well not so much.  He's like the kid who is always picked last.  We try to let him join in, but it's difficult because Murph thinks he's useless.  So here's a summary of today's practice session with the boys.  Murph is ready to head to Boston if he's needed.

I'm ready...isn't someone going to throw this thing!

Too bad, little Dood....you're going to have to actually MOVE if you want to catch the ball.

I ditched the nerd...let's try this again!

YES!!!!!  Put me in coach....

This one looks like it's going over the right field fence!!!

A brilliant save by the big Dood!!!!

So, Big Murph is ready to go at a moment's notice.  We'll have to wait and see what happens.

That is the cleanest ball player I have ever seen! Murph you are a star. I understand things did not go well for the Red Sox last night. I'm sorry for the emotional trauma at your house today.

I'm not a big baseball nut, but I understand that the Houston Astros are doing B-A-D!  I think they could desperately use Big Murph!!  Love the pics, by the way!

Jane these pictures really made me laugh. Maybe Murph need a little competition so he can better understand how G. feels. I will send Achilles over to even the playing field. Tell Guinness help is on the way.

Thanks everyone....believe me they don't always look this clean.  Any hopes of the boys being called in to help out the Sox were shattered last night.  This is not a happy household.

The doods look so soft and cuddly in their new dos. While Guinness may not make a great ball player I think he would make a great umpire, he already knows the right position to take. Murphy looks like he is more than ready for the big leagues. The Blue Jays could really use some help, they haven't made it to the post season in a few years.

While Clifford and Cloud aren't terribly interested in playing ball, our foster Lola is very ready to join the Detroit Tigers when they start post season play on Friday.  Cloud might be willing to stand in the outfield and chase the ball but it's unlikely he will feel like exerting much effort to bring it back.  Murphy looks like he is primed and ready for that call from the coach.
