THANK YOU to all my DK family who offered to help Gibson! Seems that the shelter has gotten a lot of people offering to adopt him. We hope and pray that he goes to a family that truly understands all it entails to have a Doodle as part of their family. The daily grooming, the expensive but necessary trips to the groomer, the constant and consistent training, the socialization, exercise - lots to take on if you dont understand a Doodle. Our paws are crossed that whichever family adopts him, it will be for life and he doesnt end up back in the shelter.
THANK YOU to all of you who have signed up as volunteers for The DRC. I am sure that you will be called upon to help another Doodle in need!!
We all appreciate your help!!

Joanne,
He MAY (and I doubt it highly) that he looks like an unloved stray but there is no way anyone would ever think that he isn't loved and cherised!! He is such a happy boy that comes from 2 great parents!!!

This comment does not belong here but I can not resist:

hahahahah If someone were to find Spud today they would be saying, " Oh my goodness, look at this poor stray. He is filthy and matted, poor thing. And it seems the previous owner never taught him any manners because he doesn't listen to any commands". By the looks of this filthy dog I am sure he has been a stray for a very long time".

L&S Mom,
Great idea!! I don't think there is a Doodle Family out there that can't learn a million things here in DK. DK has taught me so many things about living with my girls. I shudder to think what I might be feeding here if is wasn't for Lynne starting the food group UGH!!

I actually sent an e-mail back to the lady at the shelter this morning asking if she wouldn't mind passing along the DoodleKisses website information to the family that adopts him with the hope that they will join and be able to learn just as much as we all have from DoodleKisses.
