Good girl and not so good girl !!

* Good Girl -- AM

I took my son to the school bus stop this morning. When I returned home, I saw Butter sitting in my front yard! My son must have not closed the front door completely, now the door was pretty much wide open.:-(

Even though we have fenced in yard, he could have also half way closed the gate as well. Not a good situation. Butter came right to me, and I got to be wondering where is Charlie?! She is not in the yard!!

As I escorted Butter toward the front door, she peeked her head through the door! She was still in the house, and did not leave! I know I taught her that she can only leave when told, but it was really nice to see she can really do that without my presence.

* Not So Good Girl --- PM

Charlie decided to go into the bathroom while my daughter was in a tub. Charlie took one of her favorite stuffed animal with her, dunked the stuffed animal in the water, came out of there and shooked her head, splashing the water through out floor from her head and from the stuffed animal!! She repeated this for about 3 times until I finally took the drenched stuffed animal from her !! Thank goodness for the hardwood floor!! It was soaking wet!!

Yeah, she love the water!! She always peek at us when we are in a shower as well!!
Today, Butter was scratching at the door to see if he can open it, and Charlie stared to bark, telling on him!! LOL!

Charlie was a very good girl! I have to agree with F - you probably never specifically said toy-dunking was off limits (when Callie destroyed my blinds, my sister very helpfully asked if I'd ever told her that wasn't an ok thing to do. Now when I leave the house, I tell her to leave all window treatments alone!)

Charlie deserves an enormous round of applause. And after all you probably never taught her not to dunk toys.

What a good girl to stay in the house when she had a perfect escape route. I really think that's amazing. We're always looking for ways to have fun with our Doods in the bad weather. That "dunk the stuffed animal" game sounds like a great time! LOL

I'm glad Charlie stayed in the house, that is a good lesson to learn. I think Charlie just wanted to play , my Lilly will drop balls in my water when I'm in the tub.=)

I think the "good girl" part was way more important than the "not so good girl" part! Much better to have a dog who stays when the door is open & a wet floor, than a dog who runs out the door (and maybe out of the yard) and a dry floor. Good girl, Charlie!

When I was a kid, my mom let my dog into the house while I was in the tub and she proceeded to jump into the tub with me. Fun was had by all!

I'm so glad your dogs were ok!! And to think Charlie didn't even leave amazing!! I love the dunking story. The lab I was raising when my youngest was about 8 yrs old jumped right in the tub with her. Dog loved it, daughter screeched. This dog loved water and I was always hearing, Sandy, get your head out of the shower. Then mommmm. You'll laugh at these stories someday!!
