KFC Fiery Grilled Chicken Wing Scare!

Yes. They are really good, and my son loves them. But this is a story about how we spent 2 days sick and nervous over the Fiery Grilled Chicken!! My son (15) decided to clean the kitchen inside and out, because he was bored after so may snow days off from school, and also in hope of allowance increase by attempting to show off his cleaning skills ( hahaha )and surprising me when I got home. There were a box of Fiery Chicken Wings bones he just finished on the counter when he walked away from the kitchen for something WITHOUT closing the baby gate! Well, my old Butter got a hold of that box, and by the time when my son returned to the kitchen, he ate about 5 wings worth of bones. When I got home, the kitchen looked fabulous, and I thanked him for cleaning. But chicken bone incident was never mentioned.... In the middle of the night, Butter asked to go outside and had a biggest poo I ever saw. But it looked OK. The next morning, when he pooped, there were some blood dripping from his rectum!!! We started frantic conversation about his poop, and then my son goes, "Oh, yeah, he ate some KFC chicken bones yesterday.." What? Are you serious?! It can kill him, you know?! Those bones can stab him in the stomach! Don't you know?! Some colorful word flied around the house. By this time, snow had accumulated over night, and there were no way we were able to go anywhere for him to be seen. He did not eat his breakfast, just lay there and slept.Well, to make long story short, we looked some things up online, called emergency vet, did some home remedies and observations for next 2 days. By that afternoon, he ate some buttered bread - to cushion pieces of bones for easier exit - pooped in the evening with no blood. he was back to his nomal self by the next day. Vet said that pieces of bones may irritated his rectum causing some bleeding. Thank god that they did not pierce his stomach or anything...Well, folks, good chicken wings are for us to keep all, bones and all! No sharing with our doggie family members!

My son was quiet for these days. Because if something would went wrong, he would have to live with the fact that he was very careless....

I'm so glad Butters is okay! And I'm sure your son learned a valuable lesson. But it was nice of him to clean the kitchen!

Very scary!!! Thank goodness everything turned out OK! This scenario sounds like what happened
at my house involving my son and my Golden Retriever some years ago. Our GR came through it fine except for some vomiting.
